So here’s the unfortunate event that surrounded me tonight at Texas roadhouse in Terre Haute.. let me start off by saying that the server was great. I think her name is Diana. I’m not sure a blonde lady very nice very helpful and did her job very well…. Unfortunately when they brought me my steak, they brought me a New York strip and I ordered a 14 ounce ribeye now I know mistakes happen and I’m not one of those people who is an asshole right out the gate. Lol I did however, ask for the correct steak. The server took it back no hesitation so far so good. The issue I have was that a manager name Danny came out, and rather than admit, he made a mistake, which again was fine. He proceeded to tell me that the New York strip on my plate was in fact a ribeye. Now I may not be Gordon Ramsay, but I know what a ribeye steak is lol. I told him that I’ve processed beef before not to mention that I’m 41 years old and know the difference between a New York strip and a ribeye, but Danny would rather treat me as if I were ignorant rather than admit they gave me the wrong steak… after that the entire atmosphere change, the friendly server was not so friendly any longer, and it took very long for my actual steak to come to me… I told Danny to bring both steaks out and I would happily pay for both of those just to show him that it was wrong he did not, and with a horrible attitude, walked off to the kitchen and made me wait another 45 minutes while my family ate their food and I sat there looking stupid and feeling like I did something wrong. I paid $165 tonight at Texas roadhouse and I tip the server like I’m supposed to. I’ve downloaded the receipt to prove all of this in case I get any backlash like it’s not true. I guess the only reason I’m leaving this review is because I want people to know so you don’t have to sit down and spend $165 for your dinner to be made to feel like you are stupid… I’ve always had a good time at the Texas roadhouse in Terre Haute but it seems like it’s going downhill to me....
Read moreThis is for Terre Haute location. My wife and I were visiting from out of state. Came here to have dinner on our last night in town. First.. the booth they were going to seat us at was already occupied.. no big deal.. we sat at a table. It was fairly busy. 7pm dinner crowd on a Tuesday. I noticed that one of the waitresses must have known the booth across from us, as she spent alot of time just talking with them. As we were placing our order. My wife jumped up and said something hot had been spilled on her. Yup. It was that waitresses from the other table,, she spilled hot bbq sauce all ice my wifes jacket.. and on her pink top. All down the back and her left arm, all over the floor. When my wife looked at her. She says.. that was me. Sorry. And walked away. We asked our waitresse for a wet rag to try and wipe the sauce off.. but no one brought one. We asked the waitress who spilled it on her, she just said..I said I was sorry!! We asked a 3rd male waiter for a wet cloth. He did bring a cloth that was not wet. Tried to wipe off my wife.. then said. Try spray n wash. That will help.. I get accidents happen.. but NO ONE tried to help or fix this. I was so frustrated, it was all I could do not to make a major scene. The tables all around us saw what happened.. not one person said a thing. My wife eventually asked for a manager.. he just looked at us and said.. what you want me to do about it!! Holy cow!! Luckily.. our hotel offered 24 hrs access to washer and dryer and we went back to our hotel and spent treat of the evening doing laundry. Food was decent. Service was clueless and completely indifferent. I was raised in this area. Never seen Hoosier hospitality fail in such a glaring and nasty way. Go to Golden Corral. Or another restaurant. There are lots to choose from. I know we will never eat at this location again when we come to...
Read moreFor one I went in there expecting to get a really good meal and have a good time with my wife. It did not happen. We ordered drinks and food which took forever for them to even ask us what we wanted. Once we finally got our drinks which took forever. The waitress finally asked us what we wanted to eat so we ordered. We also asked for more drinks cuz by the time she came back to ask us what we wanted to order we already finished our drinks. It took well over 35 minutes for them to cook our food. So I got my food it was the wrong food. I went ahead and dealt with it because I was so hungry from waiting already. And again I asked the waitress for our drinks she said she'll be right back with them. So we waited and ate then eventually I just asked for our bill once I did get her attention which also took forever by the way she was too busy talking to the rest of the waitresses just goofing off. Then when she brought me my bill I looked at her and said we never got our drinks we only had one drink the whole meal and been empty since before we ordered. She looked at me and said oh I'm sorry next time speak up...... Just saying worst meal experience I have ever had and it was to take my wife out on our anniversary and it was ruined due to Texas Roadhouse. So if I was you I would go to any other steakhouse or even fast food restaurant cuz it definitely would beat Texas Roadhouse. Unless you like long waits and not getting the right food and also getting attitude from your waitress no matter who you get usually only because you want your food /drink. Also I recommend paying with cash because no waitress should be tipped 15 dollars or more by card. Especially since they don't value the...
