I visited this business for the first time on a Saturday morning, just before noon, and dropped off three large tote bags full of clothes. One of the store associates told me I could either wait for them to be sorted or leave the store and they'd call me back when they were done. I chose to head out and do some errands. Two hours later, I called the store to check in and someone told me it might be another hour or so, unless they had any more "express drop-offs" come in. I had no idea what that meant, but waited another hour and came back around 3 p.m. to find their lobby strewn with at least 10 other drop-offs.
I came to find that apparently their "express drop-off" means that when people wait in the store for their clothes to be sorted, they're bumped up on the priority list. This would have been nice to know -- and very, VERY easy for the associate to explain -- when I first came in.
I ended up having to wait another 2 hours and when my name was finally called, I found that they were only accepting $26 worth of my clothes, but I totally, 100 percent understand that they can only accept certain things based on what they already have, current trends, seasons, etc. That's not the reason for my rating. I'm rating this fairly low because it's completely unacceptable that no one explained their drop-off and priority policy to me right away. I own a boutique in central illinois (45 minutes away). I am rebranding so what I hadnāt sold I brought to your store just to not sit on it any longer. The top items posted on your door were sports wear - great!!! I had several pairs of athletic shorts (brand new) and several athletic tank tops and dri fit shirts. Now, I donāt expect everything to be taken. Itās a gamble I make when making the drive. However, exactly 10 minutes later I got a text saying my belongings were completed with a āfull pass.ā Usually I would just say wow, weird. However, your staff shrugged me off the moment I walked through the door, extremely rude to my 2 year old. So, I have to assume they just wanted to waste my time from the get go. When I picked up my items they could not even make eye contact with me. When I asked if they went through the full tote the one gal said āI am not on sorting dutyā and put my stuff on the table. She has been on her phone this entire time, while the staff all talk about another co-worker coming in from 3-6 and how they don't need her, etc. Well OBVIOUSLY you guys do. She then comes around to the front of the counter, still on her phone, and continues to talk about a day she is needing requested off. Then when I finally speak up and ask if someone can finish my clothes and worry about their phones/schedule later, she states "oh yeah sorry I was texting my boss." I stated that was great but she could do that on her break. Then a young gentleman working comes up to the counter with a shirt from one of the racks that has a bed bug on it! & the older lady working whispers loudly " oh my god take it to the dumpster." Very unprofessional and will NOT be back or recommending to anyone!! I would love for someone to pull up this footage from the cameras. Young girls working who have no clue about...
