King Foot Spa — Local services in The Colony

The owner Zuo, who is Chinese, seriously gave me a 90 minute massage and it was one of the BEST massages I’ve ever had in my life. This place is easy to miss, it’s in a shopping center of a grocery store but it needs more recognition. The value of what you pay here is fantastic! The rooms are very modest but clean, the pressure point of the massage was SPOT on I couldn’t stop talking about how well he listened to my feedback and request to work mainly on my upper back and shoulder. The massage itself was a 8.5 out of a 10, then he left and came back with hot stones which apparently come with all the massages, it made it a PERFECT massage. I have no notes no complaints, I will be returning!!! Don’t go to a major retail massage place, support a local business here in the colony. Nightmare visit. Poor quality non-skilled staff both times my boyfriend went for couples massage. The person (Lucy) literally fell asleep more than once during my massage. Literally. Additionally, the only technique she used was rubbing in a circular motion with her forearms. Nothing about that was skilled or felt good. What she was doing can’t even be called a massage — more like a partial body rub and pat-down. Awful. To make matters worse the 2 “therapists” did not speak or understand English. The communication was so poor you can’t get basic information over the phone. They were only 2 staff there which means every time someone came in or the phone rang she left me in the middle of my massage to go tend to customers. My daughter and I had been several times before and loved the experience. Today we both went ant it was horrible. They put us in the same room and talked the entire time. When I told my person it was too hard she laughed and talked to the other person about it( of course I didn’t understand what was said)I felt like I had someone rubbing lotion on me with no message. They pulled both our hair in to a ponytail and then when they asked us to roll over didn’t remove it. I asked for hot stones and they said they were included but then they forgot. I walked out with greasy hair felt like I had no message and that I had no relaxation. My daughter felt the same way and we both wished we had left 1/2 way through. Very sad since we had been there multiple times and now will not go or recommend to our friends like we had. To top it all off the person who worked on my daughter burped in her ear.
