Verizon — Local services in The Dalles

After coming into the store looking to replace a broken phone, I never would've expected the feeling that I felt coming back out of that exact same door. Jordan is one of the reasons that I've decided to continue on in life. You see, a few nights before, the wife and I were celebrating our 15th year together. Each year we always go to the same restaurant together, Kobe Sushi. You see, we met there 16 years ago and even got married at that same place a year after. Anyways, this year was like any other. Dinner date, drinks, and an exciting ride back home... At least, it was supposed to be. We ended up drinking a little more than either of us expected. When we got in the car, we didn't waste any time starting the fun. A few blocks down, there was supposed to be a long straight road ahead, however, what I didn't know is that there was a deer sitting in the middle of it. I remember us rolling and my phone ended up getting destroyed. The next day I ended up deciding that if I ended up wanting to continue on in life, I'd need a phone.

That's when I met Jordan. The second I came into the store he noticed I was distraught. Well, I guess it also could've been from the tears streaming down my face. This man asked me if he could do anything for me and how I was doing. I ended up confiding in him about the events that occurred not too many days ago. He immediately comforted me and told me if I needed a friend or just somebody to talk to, he was prepared for whatever. I told him I can't go on without my phone. After a few more words I ended up leaving through that front door feeling that maybe there is a reason to go on in life...

My work Iphone has been on SOS mode for the last week. I went to try and fix it but it doesn’t seem that the 3rd party retailer could help much. I was told I could buy a $10 sim, separate from my account. I then had to call customer service to activate the new sim which is fine. Although, I was also told that it was impossible to have Customer Service verify an authorized user (which I did shortly after in front of the agent Taylor) He had me jump through several hoops just to fix Verizon’s problem. He offered little to no help until he noticed that I was being chill about it. Then he said “sorry for making you jump through hoops, Verizon is cracking down on unauthorized users” it is what it is. Several other customers had walked in & complained about the service (2) in the 30 minute period I was there. I honestly don’t have problems with the service (just my SIM card failure & Verizons inability to comp a new SIM card on the actual account). One customer asked to discontinue their line. Taylor told the sweet old lady that he can’t do anything for her to discontinue her coverage. He didn’t even look into her account, he sent her somewhere else. It felt very lame &...

I wish there was something lower than a 1 star to give this place. I took my new phone that was replaced under warranty to get it switched over. The girl said there was a $10 charge to switch it. When I told her to forget it I would go to AT&T she said they would do it with no charge. When I phoned Verizon customer service they told me that was a scam as did the Verizon store I went to in Portland. The Portland Verizon store switched it over and gave me some good tips on its use, no charge. My wife was sold a phone that couldn't be used in Canada despite the fact we had a Canada plan. Our Canada plan was also changed without our knowledge or consent. Enjoy the thousands of dollars we have spent in your store over the years, you will never get another dime from us.
