Since my daughters (currently 6 and 8 years old) have shown interest in music from very young age, my husband and I had to find a place where their interest will grow and flourish. Fast forward to today, we have been with Muse Mantra family for 3 years and I must say we can’t imagine our lives without it! Tarab and his team at Muse Mantra School of Music and Arts are working hard day in and day out to help kiddos discover their potential and develop their passion for music. First of all, Tarab as the owner is doing a fantastic job at bringing on board very talented, passionate and dedicated music teachers who work tirelessly with our children every day and that is something to admire. My daughters take private piano and voice lessons with Ms. Shelby and Mr. Josh who are amazingly in sync with my daughters. In the past, they have also worked with Ms. Molly, Ms. Sarah and Ms, Kamela. So we have a very good understanding of the company culture which is only positive and upbeat. Secondly, I would like to give my appreciation to the front desk staff: Laura, Casey and Candace. They are amazing ladies who work equally hard in making sure things run smoothly when it comes to all of kids’ schedules, make-up lessons, vacations, etc.. They always carry a positive attitude and meet us with a smile on their face. Thank you ladies!!! Additionally, the school facilities are very accommodating to students as well as their parents/family. All instruments are in excellent shape, we always have a choice between purchasing the music books/workbooks straight at school or elsewhere. Each classroom is equipped with video and sound live streaming cameras which is ideal for the parents to watch the progress of their children straight from their personal devices. Also, for our convenience there are coffee, tea and water station in the lobby for the enjoyment during the wait. Besides, Muse Mantra hosts bi-annual recitals for children to showcase their work which we always look forward to impatiently. My daughters love the process of picking out the pieces they want to perform as well as their wardrobe for the performance. Lastly, we are very grateful to be part of Muse Mantra family and I really hope this candid review of mine helps in your decision making. THANK YOU...
Read moreI am an adult cello student. I went from M&A to Muse Mantra after three weeks of lessons with M&A and the difference is extraordinary. I had a trial lesson with Tammy and I learned more in 30 minutes than I had in three lessons at M&A. I felt so comfortable with Tammy's teaching style and she even taught me some things that previous teachers had not explained to me, e.g. how to properly remove your cello from the bag. Tammy was able to accommodate my desire for hour long lessons and also confirmed that I should be learning things on an adult level. Teaching should be individualized to a student's abilities. I believe Tammy recognizes this and implements it in her teaching. We discussed why I wanted to learn cello and my goals.
The school itself is clean and comfortable. I attended my trial lesson on a Saturday morning. It wasn't very busy so I didn't feel cramped while waiting for my lesson as I have at other music schools. It was easy to find parking which is close to the door which means I don't have to carry my cello a great distance. I was greeted immediately by name. Extremely impressive. Made me feel less like "a number".
I also appreciate the great communication from the school. The texts to confirm my purchase, holiday closures, etc.
Full transparency - this review is being written after only completing my trial lesson but the items above are what sold me on switching over to Muse Mantra. I think I have found the place that will help me reach my personal goals with cello. It feels like I have...
Read moreI want to relay my 8 month terrible experience with Muse Mantra. My daughter took piano lessons there but unfortunately it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Mr. Tarab which is the owner is not transparent and doesn’t communicate with parents like he should. I had a few incidents I had to bring to Mr. Tarab’s attention that we concerning. I won’t go into detail since it’s disturbing. After the last incident I mention I have been searching for another music studio. He didn’t say much about it at the time but a month later he calls me to tell me that we are not a match for Muse Mantra. He waits till the day before my daughter’s piano and vocal lessons after I have already paid for the up coming month. Candance works the front desk. I have nothing positive to say about her. She is unprofessional, unfriendly, unkind and doesn’t treat the students the equally. She has her favorite students and isn’t neutral with all students. I have always been respectful and understanding when I discuss concerning matters to Muse Mantra. I can honestly say they never had the best interest in my daughter as a student there. I wish I could express a positive experience but unfortunately I can’t. The Muse Mantra reviews are deceitful since they award the parents for a good review. I understand that everyone’s experience can be different but this is mine. I hope you consider this message when you make a decision on Muse Mantra. I would hate for you to go...
