Tea Hive — Restaurant in The Woodlands

I took my son to Tea Hive after his music lesson at the excellent Muse Mantra Music School two doors away. This was our first time and we went in just to look at the menu. The staff explained the menu items and gave us a few things to sample. We decided to stay and have lunch. My son and I both had the shredded chicken sandwich which was absolutely fantastic. We also had vegetarian spring rolls which were delicious and very fresh tasting and we enjoyed both Vietnamese iced coffee and the house lemonade. I have not enjoyed a lunch like that in quite some time. My son, who is eight, also raved about the food and drinks. Okay - I love Asian food. Read my reviews & you'll see everything from Sushi to Chinese buffets and Pho. I love different regional flavors. So, I will say, I'm almost ashamed of this review. The business was clean and comfortable, with the lightest chairs ever, yet sturdy enough. The counter and behind didn't look too cluttered, which I attribute to having a plan and sticking to it. I spent a lot of time after high school at this establishment and it always provided a peaceful space for my friends and I to hang out, study, and decompress. They have plenty of indoor seating and even board games, so it seems like they don’t mind if you stay awhile.

Their food is good, particularly for vegetarians. They also have a lot of selections of both drinks and food, but not so many that it’s overwhelming. The drinks taste fresh (not powdered like some places) and their boba is a nice...
