Delicious food and superb service.
You walk in through big, heavy doors with brass (looking) loops for handles. Very exotic. The interior is typical of a Thai/Asian Pacific restaurant: red walls, some statues, a tip jar, and large wooden tables. Everything is clean and tactful. Interestingly, though, there are large TVs showing different sports games mounted on the walls. This was my first time to watch an (American) football game in a Thai restaurant.
The food is amazing. Our favorite is the “spicy basil fried rice” with shrimp. The curry is delicious as well. We’ve also tried the beef, the tofu, and the pad thai- all of which are finger-licking.
The children’s menu is simple: there are there options: chicken nuggets, fried rice, or stir-fry. All three are just as good as any of the adult entries.
The appetizer portions are pretty small. I’d suggest staying away from them anyway (we have tried the vegetable crispy rolls as well as another beef option: Sa-Té), as the entrees taste better and are large enough to have leftovers.
Be careful with the spice. I’d suggest ordering “mild spicy” (level 1) spice and using the provided spices on your table to spice it up so that you don’t get something too spicy. The first time we went, a gentlemen at the table near us was weeping uncontrollably due to the extreme spiciness of his food. I enjoy many types of spices and I’m not afraid of some heat, but I was surprised by how spicy the “still mild” (level 2) was. On our second visit, one of our guests was concerned about spice in the curry. We asked the waiter how spicy the different types of curry were, and she brought out a sample of each curry for us to try before ordering.
The food comes really quick. The wait staff is very attentive, keeps your drink glass full, and is happy to help with anything. You can get extra rice for your curry for no extra charge.
I have noticed that both times I’ve been here (weekday evenings) it is atypically empty- perhaps because the restaurant is kind of tucked away from the road. This is nice (you get seated quickly and your waiter can be more attentive) but the atmosphere suffers because of how...
Read moreI couldn't believe, we were about to go in and eat at this restaurant. We were just walking in, when I read a review of ants or something. As soon as we sat down, I finish reading the review. I started to look around at our table. Lo and behold there were some kind of baby bugs. like roaches or something. They weren't anywhere around the pepper shaker or salt shaker. they were underneath the little sugar holder that was black. When we moved it out of the way, a bunch of these little bugs started swarming everywhere and they disappeared underneath the table. As soon as we put the black holder back, they came back and hide underneath it real close to us. Two of my friends freaked out. I looked underneath the table with my cell phone flashlight. I saw hundreds of them, underneath hiding in the corner cubby holes. They're just small as ants, but they act like roaches. They know to run and hide when exposed and then come back. Yes we decided to leave as well. As we were walking to our vehicle we saw the plates sitting outside by the back door, as we read in the review. We decided to take a picture as well. It's as if someone left the back door open, and put the food out for the ants, mice, rats or animals to come and eat it. there were two rat bait boxes on each side of the back door. They should keep the door closed instead of keeping it open with a mop stick. Those little weird roach like insects, inside the restaurant, seem like they will go on to your clothing and hitchhike back to your house. There like small ants, but they act like roaches. Thousands of them under the table. I'm just glad we had water and one cup of coffee then split. Don't eat there unless you want to take some hitchhikers home with...
Read moreAvoid This Thai Restaurant at All Costs
This restaurant is an absolute disgrace. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday, and seeing more employees than customers should have made us turn around immediately.
Food: Tom Yum Soup: Disgustingly lemony with massive, inedible chunks of lemongrass. Whoever decided this was a good idea clearly shouldn't be making decisions in a kitchen.
Chicken Crispy Rolls: Mediocre at best, providing a fleeting moment of false hope.
Chili Basil: This dish tasted like a revolting combination of bad pizza and a salt lick. The overpowering basil and extreme saltiness made it inedible, and the chicken had a bizarre, unpleasant aftertaste.
Peanut Rama: An unmitigated disaster. The peanut sauce was a sickeningly sweet mix of Jif and sugar, utterly inedible.
Experience and Service: An almost empty restaurant on a Friday night should have been a giant red flag.
The waiter brought us the wrong soup (Tom Kha instead of Tom Yum) and then argued that it was correct until finally admitting the mistake. The corrected soup was equally horrible.
The service was atrocious. We had to flag down the waiter for drink refills, which were incorrect when they finally arrived. The staff seemed more interested in wandering around aimlessly than taking care of customers.
Overall, the experience was abysmal—terrible food, horrendous service, and a complete waste of time and money.
In conclusion, this is the worst dining experience I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place...
