This supermarket was previously named"Blair's Supermarket", and was purchased by an employee. Since then, it's even better than before. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful! More gluten-free selections are now offered. Fresh goat milk is available, and a couple of soft goat cheeses. There are a few dairy free products for the lactose intolerant and those who prefer to avoid any dairy at all. I have found that if you request an item they will see if they can get it in for you. There's a separate business, the friendly and excellent Vicklund Pharmacy, within the confines of the store; they have shorter hours, open 6 days a week, being open til Noon on Saturday. This is one of the best, most helpful pharmacies ever! UPDATE: some goat soft cheeses are now being offered: a plain, soft cheese and a smaller, flavored one with garlic. Both are delicious! Wonderful to add to salads, hot dishes, sandwiches, or have with Salame and cold cuts from the Deli Counter. The Deli Counter used to offer some excellent meats by DiLusso; my favorite is their hard Salame. For reasons I don't understand, the DiLusso products are now unavailable. The new ones by Columbus Meats are more expensive than DiLusso, but are lower in quality, and become rancid more quickly, noticeably so. Dilusso products are Gluten-free, as well. This Deli also offers Birchberry Meats and Cheeses. I have not cared for any of the Birchberry Meats that I have tried. The Fried Chicken is generally good, but the quality and freshness can vary a lot. I dislike the practice of hacking a chicken thigh in half, and then counting that as two pieces. Also hacking a chicken bone, such as with a meat cleaver, creates splinters and fragments of bone: very unpleasant. I find their prices are competitive for...
Read moreMack's Market has become a friendlier place since it opened under the new owner. From what I hear, the Employees are treated with more respect, especially in regards to their work hours scheduled, as well as being allowed to be with their families on major holidays when this supermarket is closed. This has improved morale, and this in turn has created a happier atmosphere in which to shop. Staff is more willing to help customers with their requests, and this in turn has helped this shopper locate items on sale, and in-store bargains to help with stretching limited dollars. I have low vision and energy, so I much appreciate...
Read moreSpending some time shopping most of the staff is very kind and helpful because I had never been in the store before , the prices are much higher than going to like a Kroger or an Albertsons but what do you expect I guess for a tourist destination like Thermopolis. Checking out the girl at the counter would not make eye contact and would not even converse with her customers 😞. Management really should talk to all their employees and make sure they feel welcomed in the store. I would definitely go back but choose a different line to...
