DO NOT USE THIS STORE AND THE ACCEPTANCE NOW CREW. I got furniture from this place just a year ago. To say the least the furniture is cheaply made and from the beginning it’s fallen apart but they have a 3 day return policy they did not make me aware of. Fine I’ll keep the furniture. But acceptance now is a SCAM. They approved me for a 12 month interest free $1500 credit. I got $1100 worth of furniture and was told I’d have the full 12 months to pay it off. I put $500 down to lessen the load. Well 3 months later I went online, to make my final payment, to only find out the amount I owed nearly quadrupled in price. When I called to find out why, Richard the man in charge at acceptance now had a disgusting attitude and just kept saying “it’s the contract you signed” completely disregarding my concerns and what I was telling him I was told from his workers. So I took my card off autopay back in November last year. I had been calling in payments instead. Due to me being a single mom and them quadrupling my furniture costs, I fell behind a bit on payment. But I was still make whatever payment I could. Today I checked my bank account and someone pulled nearly $300 off my card. To my surprise it was acceptance now. How did they pull the money without my card info? I took it off file 6 months ago. Unless someone wrote it down the last time I called a payment in and just decided they could take my hard earned money. Putting me into the negatives nearly $200. When I called to complain Richard (the same snobby man) told me I made the payment on his website and that nobody there ran my card. That is completely false and I told him I did not make the payment and that I did not authorize anyone to take a payment and I asked for a refund due to my account being negative and he said he was unable to do so. This place is a complete scam. Each time I made a payment the amount I owed would be completely different, more or less, than what I was told from the previous time. They take your money without permission and are completely nasty to you. I am calling my bank and getting my money back and reporting them for fraud. Read moreThis review is for Bob's Discount Furniture, River Oaks location. Sales Associate Roger Saffold was professional and patient as we picked bedroom furniture for my daughter! We added pieces like a desk and trundle and he was alert, and not overly pushy or frantic about the sale that was unfolding. He tried to direct our attention to extra accessories, like pillows and rugs but we (mother and I) were strictly in there for the bedroom furniture, although I'm coming back for decorative pillows! Roger restated over and over the pieces we wanted and let a person like me see it in writing as he was writing the ticket up. We took pieces out...replaced them...and switched other pieces too. He didn't display not one ounce of annoyance! He gently and carefully explained all the buying and credit options. We offered different scenarios and he made sure that how we wanted to pay, we had options! He thoroughly explained the "goop" accident insurance for all the pieces we got! Roger made the experience of shopping delightful and insightful. We didn't feel like we were being taken advantage! In fact, we left feeling like we got a deal! Read moreI purchased furniture from the location in Merrillville, the sales person was great. The delivery team on the other hand was very unprofessional, he attempted to look at my front entrance and then my back entrance, he decided that the front entrance would be better because he didn't want to carry the furniture up the 20 steps. Mind you the front way is narrow but if you maneuver the right ways the furniture can get inside. So long story short they couldn't get the furniture in the house, they did not even make a attempt to take it up the back way. Didn't listen to any of the suggestions that my husband and I offered. I even explained to the delivery people that movers had just left my house and took the even bigger furniture out the back way. I have never had a problem with people getting furniture in or out in the 14 years of me living in this house. 2nd problem if your doing a job you should speak English where everyone can have a understanding of what is being said, again I state extremely unprofessional. I think that I'm a very level headed individual and it's extremely rude to speak your native language, when others around you don't understand what's being said.
