Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Thornton Township

This was my second time in the calumet city location, the first time we were provided with great customer service it was on a Friday. The server suggested we should come for the all you can eat wings during the week so we, (myself, three of my godkids and my two of my kids) went back two weeks later. When we went back my kids ordered the all you can wings so that they could sample all of the wing flavors(so we thought) I ordered cheese sticks and my godkids had burgers. So when the food came I took two wings (4total) from each of my girls and I gave them a cheese stick so we’re eating a the employees are staring at us we have have no clue why.. so keep in the the second set of wings came out and and the only have 5 wings on the tray the first on had 10 so me being me I said don’t work you can order a different flavor and that way you won’t get full to fast… so then the manager comes to the table (not in friendly manner) and says if you order another set of wings OF IM GOONG TO CHARGE YOU ANOTHER $25 ( In a VERY AUTHORITATIVE TONE)I asked why and she was like because you are sharing and there is no sharing I said I wasn’t told that and so now the waitress is saying she told us that and like I told her I didn’t hear her say that, I heard her say we couldn’t have any to go so I said well I’m not going to argue with you or her is the pop refill free she said yes so I said well give us a refill in the same tone in which I was given. So then I see the manager in the back talking everybody in the back come looking out at our table, so the I see her on the phone pointing her finger, rolling her neck with and attitude so I thought she called the police so we sat there to see what was going to happen and as we’re sitting there another employee walks in with her child and went to the back so I asked to speak to the manager again and asked her was it bring your child to work day…. The manager says she’s an employee but she doesn’t start for another hour and that’s our break area and it was not my business about her child being there so I said while you were calling whoever you were calling about me did you tell them about the kid and she said she didn’t have to but she was talking to her area manager about me and she walked off ( after pointing her finger at me like I was a kid)So when the waitress came back ( Mind you she only took our order and bought the check) I asked her where does it say we can’t share so the she come back out with a different menu from what we ordered off of and I asked her how was I suppose to know about their policies and why didn’t we get this menu when we came in and she said they were in the back I looked around the restaurant and there was not one menu on any of the tables and I had a gratuity on both bills and I also asked why did I have to pay gratuity and she said it was on the door I had not planned on tipping because of the service and how I was treated. I don’t understand how people think they can talk to/ treat you any...

Entered the restaurant in a group of 5 around 6 pm. Off the bat could see other people waiting for a table for a while even though half the tables and booths were empty. When it was finally our turn, they wanted us to wait for a booth to get cleaned even though we clearly could have been seated at the half empty booths that were out. Only cleaned the table and sent pieces of food from the table toward the booths. Never cleaned the booths afterward so we had to brush the food pieces off. Ordering our food went fine but waiting for an hour to get half of our food was not fine. During our wait, our fried pickles came, but half of them were not even fully baked, still looked doughy. What was absurb that it took an additional hour and a half to get the "rest" of our food. In all honesty, we were still missing a few small things we ordered like carrots and one of my friend's fries. That same friend who didn't get their fries at the end was the same person who's food didn't arrive in the first hour so unfortunately they had to wait 2 and half hours just to get their food (10 boneless). We understand that they were short-staffed but at the same time our waitress never came to check on us and we would always see her go to other tables. We never got refills and we had to always ask the few other waitress just get forks, how long our food will take, and to get our bill. When our actual waitress finally came to check on us, we had a few complaints to tell her. She was understanding and took off the missing fries, the carrots, and went to get us new fried pickles but to be frank we just wanted the pickles to be taken off than getting a new batch at this point. When we finally got out of our booths, paid for the food, and left the restaurant it was pretty much 9 pm.

One note to mention was throughout the time we were there, I couldn't help but notice other people experiencing the same problems like us. Would see newcomers enter and be confused since they would be standing at the door not knowing if they should be seated or they just seat themselves due to no employee being there in the front to take them.

Couldn't also help to mention that the resturant wasn't really clean, the bathrooms were a mess and the floor right next to us was sticky from a past spilled drink that was never cleaned...

1/16/23 around 9pm ish. We walk in It was so empty👀 I was wondering why‼️😳 🆘some people was at two different tables 🤔The server was good, didn’t seem like she had any help she🫣 was working the front door an the floor doing her thang.😂 The food was horrible 🤮🤢 it’s like they got the biggest wings n the world (in my opinion ) and just poured buffalo sauce on top of it.right out the bottle 🤦🏾‍♀️🤢I had chicken tenders, look like I cut the chicken breast up my self🤣🤣 I will say this It tasted like Popeyes😋 no lie.🤣 seasoning and batter that was the only thing that was good. besides the waitress being good. Poor lil thang was trying🙌 (we tiped $3) it was a lot of them in back too don't know what they was doing.should’ve just shut this place down.1st time ever at Buffalo wild wings. the food was just horrible if this is how you serve people food out the kitchen you need new cooks. no one should be serve sauce out of the bottle wings paying money the bill was only $40+ but still, I don’t eat Fatt chicken those wings was bigger than my hand🤦🏾‍♀️.😤🤬 the person I was with was ok with the food omg 🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤮only reason why I enjoyed my food because it tasted like Popeyes chicken. and like they tried to cover it up a little bit🤔🤫 so yeah my food was good but I would never in life go here again.I wish I didn’t have to give a star.
