I cannot say enough awesome things about MOB. I have known MOB for the last few years, my sister (who is also a crossfit coach) introduced me to them a while back. I tried to make it in when I could but life seemed to keep getting in the way. I finally made a pledge to myself to put my health first and I started back up seriously with MOB back in June. While to a newcomer, crossfit can be very intimidating, however MOB made it feel like home. The coaches are truly invested in your progress and do everything they can to help you get where you want to be. I have been attending classes 4-5 days per week and I work with April (nutrition coach) on making sure what I eat is fueling my progress in the gym. After seeing the results I was having I was able to even convince my fiance to join me, now he is hooked and he also goes about 4-5 times per week. The coaches are constantly motivating and positive in every sense. I have seen incredible progress in my strength, conditioning, and even how my body feels. The coaches are great at modifying when you need it. For instance, I am currently working with a wrist injury and I have not had to miss out on a WOD yet because of it. My fiance and I are moving to Frederick, but even after we move we will absolutely continue to make the drive to remain at MOB. Read moreI’ve always been hesitant to try CrossFit because of all the horror stories I’ve heard about it but I decided to try this gym because it is right across the street from me and I’m too lazy to drive 15 whole minutes. This is the first time I’ve ever tried CrossFit and Im so glad this is the gym I went to to learn. The coaches are very helpful in making sure you understand the movements and answer any general questions you may have. I appreciate that the workout begins with a proper warm up and we go through basic steps of each movement before putting it all together. Even if you’ve been going for years it’s just a good way to get that muscle memory on proper form. The coaches also make sure that your keeping proper form during the workout and prioritize that over just lifting as heavy as possible. I’ve been doing lighter weights this first month to get the movements down so I don’t end up injuring myself and there is no judgement from the coaches or others for not lifting as heavy. And the time that I did have an injury the coaches did a fantastic job at finding alternative movements so I could still enjoy the work out. I think my favorite part of the gym is the community. Myself and my son honestly look forward to our daily workouts, we call them our therapy sessions because the moment we walk through those doors to the moment we leave we always have a smile on our faces. I have done nutrition coaching with April and it was amazing. I had a goal and she helped me achieve it, she was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, honest, fun, encouraging and motivated me every step of way. I'm currently doing personal training with coach CJ he is very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and definitely challenges me but he also makes it fun and safe. And my son is currently doing personal training with Coach Gabs and all I hear such positive feedback from him, he enjoys he's personal training sessions and really appreciates and respects his coach and not to mention the results he's getting is noticeable! We are beyond pleased with the choices we've made! Every workout is fun and challenging the coaches are inspiring, upbeat , professional, fun and motivating in every way possible!
