This place started out as the Pool Table Store. Sometime after they started selling furniture, they changed their name to PTS Furniture. It seems that now pool tables are just a sideline for them.
My recent experience with a pool table installation was a comedy of errors. The guys that do the installation are the same guys that deliver their furniture. As far as I know they only have two installers. In my opinion, they donât know the difference between installing a pool table and a dining room table. Obviously there is a BIG difference.
⢠I had to tell them the joints in the slate were not even or smooth. ⢠I had to tell them there were loose threads under the felt that you could feel (twice). ⢠I had to tell them the pockets were not installed properly. Balls actually fell though the web in the pockets to the floor. ⢠I had to tell them which rail to install at the head of the table. ⢠They used the salvage on the felt where the Simonis name was actually visible on one of the bumpers. I had to tell them that it was unacceptable. ⢠The felt at the pockets had rough loose frayed felt. I had to tell them it was unacceptable.
I guess my point is, If they knew what they were doing; none of the above conversation would have been necessary. To top it off when they were installing the bumpers in the rails they scratched one of the rails and had to send it off to Texas to be refinished.
In addition, the owner didnât want to honor the manufacturers warranty even though it is clearly stated on the manufacturers website.
Bottom line, if you are considering buying a pool table, my recommendation is go to someone whose main business is pool tables,...
Read moreI was in the market for a two-drawer file cabinet of all things, and after searching online I finally found something that matched close enough to my current home office furniture. The owner spent time talking to me on the phone before I came in. Thinking I might have found my piece, I went into the store, where the owner then spent additional time talking to me about that and other (less expensive) pieces. She was patient, and I never felt rushed or pressured. I ended up buying the one I came in for. I love the piece. It's solidly constructed and has a nice glass top. Yes, it was pricey. But you get what you pay for. I paid extra for delivery, but the guys carried it up the stairs and made sure the drawers opened and closed easily. I received really good service, even though I wasn't buying a bedroom or dining set. I appreciated that. I really like the furniture they sell, and recommend this place. I like their zero-gravity...
Read moreWhat an unexpected, awesome experience we had at PTS. We purchased a dining table set at PTS in the past & recently had the chair pads recovered there. We got great designer help to make sure the new fabric would flow well in our space. We loved our current couch and recently came in to ask for info or referrals to get it recovered. We got our info, but something caught my eye. It was a similarly shaped couch with a far superior construction. You could feel it the minute you sat on this superb piece of furniture. Needless to say, we bought it! No pressure sales. Abundant help in finding fabric for the couch and accent pillows. We canât wait until delivery date! Best furniture buying experience in our many years of buying items for our...
