The sandwiches overall were very good. The Steak & Blue - Shaved teriyaki steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms, crumbled bleu cheese, toasted sub roll for $8.99 was fabulous! We added a slice of Swiss for an additional $.50 cents to keep everything together and it did that perfectly. This is not a sandwich for the faint of bleu-hearts it really has BLEU CHEESE! We also tried the Mississippi Blues a Roast beef, horseradish, grilled onion, crumbled bleu, cheese dressing, grilled sourdough $8.49. Here we made a critical mistake while ordering, blame covid for us trying to do this online to minimize exposure and not having the expert help of staff to stop us. We chose untoasted so it came plain instead of grilled. Newbie mistake and all ours. The horseradish sauce was superb, the beef was about a B- grade in my book; passable; but not anything to rave about. The onions were definitely not cooked enough. I have an minor allergy to uncooked onions so I had to switch sandwiches after trying mine. The homemade chips were tasty and had a hint of BBQ flavor to them that unless you really like BBQ, I don't know if you'd taste anything but a little bit of smokey sweet aftertaste. Overall we were very pleased with dinner. Definitely will try again, lots of delicious sounding items on the menu; though we will be bringing our own drinks. $2.50 for a iced...
Read moreMy first and only visit was yesterday and it was very good. I had a wrap, Buffalo's Anchor, which was a very pleasant surprise. The wrap was slightly crispy and the buffalo chicken was flavorful with an interesting cheesey sauce that worked well although I would prefer an in-your-face blue cheese on buffalo chicken. A very good wrap, 5 stars since the blue cheese is really a personal preference.
My wife had a chicken salad sandwich which came on a hearty white bread. The bread tasted good although didn't hold up well as it fell apart. However the chicken salad had little flavor, lacking any spice or condiments to compliment the chicken other than mayonnaise. It was like it could have used pickle relish if nothing else.
Both of us got potato chips as part of the order. Usually that means some wavy big brand chips that are as exciting as... well exciting is just the wrong word. The chips at Wrap City just displaced Utz's Dark Russet Chips as my favorite potato chip. Until yesterday I had never bought a bag of potato chips at a restaurant to take home and I can remember Richard Nixon! That's a long time. These things are a kettle fried cache of crunch with a hint of caramelization, perfect for the guy that always looks for those crunchy little over cooked French fries at the bottom of the pile.
Overall it was a very...
Read moreMy husband and I went on a Friday night about 6 pm. I had the Bombay Life wrap, which was grilled veggies, feta cheese, with a balsamic glaze and my husband had the Philly's Best cheesesteak sandwich, which was made with cheez whiz. I didn't try his sandwich (because it wasn't that big) but I think I'll get it next time to try it. We both loved our sandwiches. I really like that the wraps are toasted too, as I prefer hot food to cold food. The potato chips....I had read reviews before I went so I was aware of the sugar on the chips and was ready for it. I'm not a fan. Had I not read reviews and been surprised by the sugar on them, I would have been salty about it. Overall, I think it's a good place, lots of choices and reasonable prices. There are definitely other things on the menu I'd like to try and we'll visit again, and I hope I can substitute something else for the...
