Twice But Nice — Local services in Toledo

Second time we’ve brought in diapers to exchange for money. Last time was reasonable. This time it was very unacceptable and a ripoff. First we dropped the diapers off June 2nd at 1:20 have been waiting for a call, my husband called yesterday to check because it’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything. Owner said he didn’t put his number down, not sure how but why would they let us leave with no phone number down anyways? Plus they don’t keep a record of anything from the previous time we did an exchange with them. When they gave him the total of $65 for 12 diapers I was shocked. I called to negotiate because that’s a huge ripoff I even asked if we can get the diapers back but she said she sold almost all of them already they don’t have storage to “hold” them and it was our fault for not putting a phone number done. This whole Interaction was completely ridiculous and will not be going back here ever again. Very unprofessional...

My grandson is visiting from out of state this holiday season, So being from the neighborhood I thought I would stop in and possibly pick up some items like a high chair, pack and play, some baby gates, etc. There was no one in the store except the woman behind the counter. She seemed like I was bothering her for being there. I asked her to show me what they had and she just pointed to the side walk and said that's what I have. I tried to have a conversation with her, she just wasn't interested in making a sale. I guess I expect more from a small local business. Her prices are pretty close to retail and with the poor customer service, I decided to leave and just order from Amazon. Surprisingly, it's about the same cost. Brought in 6 cans of formula that costed ($26.97 each, which in total is $161.82)

But she gave 2 cans of cans that are originally ($42.99)

That’s only ($86) (so where’s the missing amount of exchange) and she can say (oh we do half off) but that’s not 50% of the original costs that’s %35 of the original cost so she should have given 3 cans with a $10 difference.

If they were half the wholesale price, each of the cans I brought in should be $13.49 a can but she took my cans and claimed they were $9.50 a can. So that’s %35 give back rate. Thats not fair at all. Because your still selling my unopened cans so why’d not get exact accumulated price or half off price on the new cans I just received from you. And I still had to pay $3 for the cans I just...
