Last weekend, my family and I embarked on a merry adventure to Tomball, Texas, for the Texas German Christmas Market. It was our first time attending this festive event, and we were not disappointed!
As we stepped into the heart of the market, the aroma of delicious food wafted through the air, instantly tantalizing our taste buds. The sight of colorful stalls brimming with authentic German delicacies was a feast for the eyes. We indulged in juicy sausages, perfectly flaky Apple Strudel, and savory wood-oven pizzas, each bite transporting us to the heart of Germany.
We also couldn't resist sampling the famous Gluhwein, a warm, spiced wine that warmed our hearts and souls. It was remarkably authentic, reminding us of our visits to the actual Christmas markets in Dresden, Germany.
The warm smiles and friendly hospitality of everyone we encountered added to the festive spirit. We enjoyed live music, traditional dancers, and beautiful holiday decorations that created a truly enchanting atmosphere.
Our first experience at the Texas German Christmas Market was truly unforgettable. From the delicious food and authentic Gluhwein to the warm hospitality and festive atmosphere, it was a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season. We highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a unique and memorable Christmas experience. We'll definitely be...
Read moreThis was actually pretty cool. Something we look forward to every year and always ever blast. For some reason they weren't selling boots this year and we forgot ours so that kind of sucked with the huge steins were okay I guess. I was pleasantly surprised to see some new beer vendors. And it's not really on the festival or anything but this is like the third or fourth time I've tried in the past couple years to get a decent turkey leg that was let down yet again. I paid more for a small lunch for the family then I would have paid for having a very nice sit-down dinner at a nice establishment. Seems kind of ridiculous thing is how there's at least half a dozen restaurants right there. The carnival was actually decent though. My two girls had more than enough tickets to ride everything...
Read moreWe’ve went to both the German festival and the Christmas German Festival and have loved both of them! There’s great music, amazing food, and a fun time all in one place!!! It does end around 9/10pm which is a downer, but other than that there’s a lot of vendors, people in traditional german-like clothing, and occasional fun traditional dancing. (i.e. polka, waltzes, etc.) The food is a bit pricey, but what festival isn’t going to overcharge?
Also, parking is CRAZY so if you’re going, be ready to walk probably around half a mile because it’s a free for all as the day goes on.
Also also, the carni rides are just that. a tad scary, slightly painful, and extremely fun for all ages. Ride at your own...
