For the money spent and the age of the venue, it is not a bad movie going experience. The staff there are attentive and do all they can to make you happy. I had an issue with the sound being a bit low on Hidden Figures. One of the managers on duty rushed to correct the problem. And even checked with me after the show ended to ask if there were any other issues. I value that. Everyone has issues with how concessions are priced at theaters. And will complain. But it's always been like that. When you go see a movie, prepare to spend at least 30 bucks. The ticket prices here are very low. But the concession prices are the same. Which cannot be helped. Being a budget theater, they have to make profits somewhere.

There was a lady complaining in front of me about her large combo being 15 bucks. It's the same price at the first run theaters. And you don't get a discount on candy when you get the combos at the first run ones. At least at the budget theater they knock off a buck or two lol The poor kid was explaining the prices and she was just giving him a hard time.

I have gone to this theater multiple times over the years and i can see the changes that are being made. The staff is good (even though they deal with some pretty rude and eccentric people). The management does a great job with upkeep (as much as they can. It is an old theater, having worked as a manager of an older video store..all you can do is make it as clean as possible and wait for the higher ups to give an ok for some remodeling).

If you are looking for a good day or night out to see a flick, go there. And usually ,on the weekdays, you can have a theater all to yourself!

And they have foreign films!! The ticket prices are higher for these..around 15 bucks i think ,as they are imports, but where else in topeka are you going to find Bollywood movies on the...

Let me start by saying I have gone to this theater since I was a kid. I haven't been to this theater since 2016. Ever since the 2010's the building has been dead and deteriorating. I finally went back for the first time for a late showing on a Tuesday night with my family. We had the auditorium to ourselves. It was still dirty from the previous showing with popcorn on the floor, a cup in an empty seat holder. They turned the popcorn machine off before 6pm when I bought the tickets hours in advance and kept popcorn a tin. The arcade area looks like it been closed for a few years. They only had two to three employees. The bathroom looks like a crime screen. I feel bad for the employees because they were all polite and nice. They are definitely trying to keep the building together best they can. I hope and wish Regal revisit this location and try to fix everything about this theater, especially the seats. When watching my movie, they felt like they were about to break! Pretty much what I'm saying is if Regal wants to get more people coming to this theater, remodel the building and try to complete with the only other competitor in town at B&B. Use a little bit of their playbook. Change the old ticket booth area which is no storage to a Bar. Add soda machines for the customers to use, get newer seats put in, bring back the life, the aura to the magic of the theater. Yes, I know people don't go out as much anymore, but B&B is pack almost every night! I understand if you can't if they only lease the building like the new (now abandoned) theater on 6th st. Still shock they close that one instead of this one. However, whoever owns the building please bring life back to this theater and fix the parking lot too! Not saying you need a SCREEN X, Grand Screen, or 4D (although recommend the 4D) but bring back the feeling of going...

It has probably been 16 years since I have been inside this theater. Looking at it from the street you would swear it is closed. Nothing on the outside says there is life inside.

Moist, musty theater room that smelled. Seats that are probably original from day one. Use the flashlight on your phone the next time you are in there. Absolutely disturbing.

Prices are high on concessions as you would expect. But you really start to consider what you spent when you are sitting in what smells and feels like a cold, damp, subterranean tunnel for runoff and sewage, sitting in chairs that look like they came from a dumpster. I swear I could still smell the old cushion smell in my cloths on the way home.

Staff are pleasant. All two of them. The one that thanked us for coming in walked by us with his head down. It was almost like an acuctual apology for all the above.
