On multiple occasions my family has tried to get popcorn and was turned away due to “not popping anymore popcorn”. Mind you it was 2 full hours prior to closing time at 7pm. Other times I had sent my son to pick up popcorn at Topsys even earlier at 6 or 6:30pm. He is told the same thing each time. When I spoke to the manager Baylen, at 7:10pm Saturday, I asked what time they closed, thinking it had to be 8pm. Nope, 9pm! Them I had asked how much popcorn pops in a single batch. She said 6.5 gallons. Ironically the same exact amount we would’ve been purchasing. So it wasn’t a waste issue, it was a laziness issue! She then informed me that she has permission from her boss, “not to pop any after 7:30pm”. So we were turned away at 7, and 7:10 when I called due to a note for past 7:30pm. Not to mention it only takes a half hour for the machine to cool down, and she told me it takes an hour. Again, it was 2 full hours before close! She actually said to me, “I’m not going to risk myself or my employees burning themselves”. I’m still not sure how they’d burn themselves on the machine 2 hours after the fact. I have tried calling the corporate office, and each time it says open online, the voicemail says “We are closed. Or Holiday- closed”. I left a message about the poor service and business practices, however I doubt I’ll receive a return call. We won’t be buying anything more from Topsys! I can make my own popcorn at home fresh for each day with the machine I ordered, which will save me plenty of $. I used to work in the theatres, so cleaning the machine, even when it’s hot, isn’t that scary to me!! Lazy service provides lazy excuses!! Pathetic!

Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. I had been a loyal customer for many years. I recently received stale popcorn as a gift from Topsys. I called customer service to inform them. Their response was very unprofessional. They never offered to replace it. I was told to return it, if I wanted a refund. I would have liked a replacement but this was not an option. Most companies would replace, to keep the customer happy. Also person answering the phone was extremely rude. I was told my complaint would be put on her managers desk , at the bottom of a large pile. She said it would be awhile, due to the holiday , before it would be addressed. I then sent an email, and the service continued to be insulting. Next year I will order from Garrett’s in Chicago. Topsys has lost me...
Read moreI went to get a popcorn bucket tonight 12/23/24 and the lady overseeing the cashier had a rude tone. She was hurrying up my purchase. “Asking me what do you want” every minute. I had to ask multiple times to let me see a certain bucket up in the shelf. Before letting me see it she told me “that costs more than the one you have” and finally brought it down and again asking me “so which one do you want.” Overall experience was very rushed.
