Do not, I repeat DO NOT shop here! I recently purchased “halal” chicken. When I opened the packaging, the smell was horrendous. Started cooking anyway. It Smelled like fish. Had to toss it (google said the meat went bad). I spoke to the “manager” to let him know I would like a refund or a store credit for the other meats that I purchased as I no longer trust his facility. He started yelling at me saying that he gets a lot of these complaints and blamed the customers for leaving it in heat and in their trunk. They don’t take meat back unless it’s under two hours! I’m like sir, it’s been in my freezer, I can show you! I assured him that I live close by and I go straight home. He was so nasty!! I told him if you receive a lot of complaints about the same issue, the common denominator is your facility, not the people! Very disappointed on how this was handled! First let me start by saying I love the butchers they are very friendly and I love how they clean/cut the meat and chicken the exact way you want. Their prices are good and I find a lot of new/different grocery products which I love trying. The store is very clean which is hard to find in a meat store and cashiers are friendly. I love the grill because I can eat some food while I wait for the butcher to finish with my meat. The food there is GREAT I recently tried the chicken shawarma on a wrap with their special spicy and garlic sauce and it was AMAZING! The only place I shop for meat/ poultry! I’ve been going here for years but lately they’ve been just weird with the prices and items. I got charged extra for skinning my chicken but they never charged before but it was ok but they put rotten chicken legs to sell. I thought it was a good deal but when I got home it smelled like bleach. I thought it was me so I washed it well and cooked it. The chicken smelled so bad…it’s unfortunate that we go for halal meat, but the seller is selling rotten meat ( not so halal) I think I’m gonna have to ditch this place...
