I started going to Community Church in Babylon when they first started. I was WOWed immediately. I spent YEARS searching for a church that felt like home, and although I’ve been to other great churches none of them compared to the kind of home I experienced coming to community. This church restored my faith, when it was rocky. Their lovingness, openness, acceptance, comforting, compassionate and joyous nature drew me in from the start. This is a church of giving and never taking. A church where you can walk in with guilt and shame and come out feeling loved and cherished and honored. This is no place of judgement, instead it’s filled with positivity, love and generosity. This church truly cares about the people and the peoples needs. The church and the pastor and his wife and everyone who serves at community are down to earth people, they keep it real. My experience has been nothing more than life changing. If you're looking for a church, I do hope you give CC a try. You will feel more welcome and very joyful you did. From the parking lot attendants outside, greeters who welcomed you, the people who will have coffee, tea, or cold drink, plus a snack if you like, to the worship band who's songs will touch your heart, to Pastor Lou and Pastor Tom with a simply easy teaching of our Lord that is relevant in today's world. And if you have kids, they have something special for them too. From what I heard and see, they can't wait to get checked in for the fun to begin, giving their parents a short time to enjoy the service. Plus it's all safe and secure for them. I like it so much I've been coming twice a week lately. I've experience all this here and so happy I have a home church now. It’s a church for people who don’t wanna go to church. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever included in my life. It is literally changed my life. The pastors are amazing. They are regular people. The Bible is not choke down your throat it’s gently offered as a reminder of what is good and what is kind. The children’s department is excellent. The security is amazing. And the kids have a great time. The volunteers there are so eager to help. Dom change a tire for you if need be. Most importantly, the message clear concise a reasonable time and reaches deeply.
