By far the absolute BEST piercer & tattoo artists in Dark Child Tattoo!! I e been many places for piercings that got infected or fell out, but went here was pierced multiple times by Vel & never EVER had an issue!! Love the piercings!! I recommend this shop to everyone for piercings & tattoos. Have never had anyone who pierced me take the time & energy that Vel took… This also is the only place I’ve been tattooed where they didn’t mess up with crooked lines, SCAR TISSUE or uneven tattoos!! A local tattoo shop gave me scar tissue, thankfully Illyana was able to correct the tattoo with a gorgeous coverup!! Unfortunately a different local tattoo shop left me with an uneven tattoo, even after fixing it twice!! Dark Child is & will be the only place I’ll go for piercings & tattoos!! Thank you to Ari for having such an awesome shop!! One final comment, I had a belly piercing done somewhere in Nassau County, this piercing got halfway lost in the top hole & then got infected, Vel in this shop helped me fix & correct the piercing even though she didn’t do it!! The level of professionalism truly shows in these reviews when you get criticism either constructive or commentary. Backing your artists is a priority and I understand that, bashing a client who has done thorough research and got multiple opinions is another. If like you said your piercer had had 20 years of experience she should have noticed once the piercing was in it was messed up and would not allow my wife to leave the shop. To be precise it had been a week and a half since we went in not two weeks. In that time we did our research and felt like it was off and wanted to be sure before bringing it up to you with evidence and opinion from the two biggest tattoo shops on the north shore. Seems they are more concerned with the well being of my wife than the shop she payed for the service to begin with. We were dissatisfied with the service that you professionalize in. When you brought up re-piercing it why if the only time we went to your shop we had a bad experience would we go for the same service and expect anything different? In the same vein of though, store credit was not brought up only the re-piercing. Finally, Re-piercing it right away seems very unprofessional...

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Got my septum pierced a week ago. The ball fell out and I had to go to cliffs to get a replacement, because this place was closed. Immediately the piercer at cliffs said it was horribly low, not properly done, pierced through the cartilage, and at risk for rejecting through the bottom of my nose. Got a second opinion at Notorious tattoo, where they also said it was completely wrong. Called them to politely ask for a refund, they said since we didn’t notice an Issue within 24 hours they won’t refund. They won’t even admit they screwed it up. I’m sorry but I paid a “professional” $108 and I tipped 20, how am I supposed to know that it was done improperly.
