I file a complaint with corporate and Better Business Bureau regarding the Family Dollar store located at 150 Main Street in Patchogue, NY 11772. The employee with the black beard treated me as though I was gum underneath his shoes. Acknowledge where I am coming from. I have enjoyed shopping at Family Dollar in Patchogue for many years. It was the place where I saved money for myself and my family. It seems that the Patchogue family was shorthanded on employees. There was only one Cashier and no one else was on the floor. I proceeded to the back of the store and found a customer service representative. I'm not sure if he was a manager or supervisor, but he was in the back room with the door closed. He has a black beard and I said excuse me, and then the door opened. I let him know that the cashier needs help. There are already 10 people in line and I will be the 11th person. There are no other people on the floor. Would it be possible for you to lend a hand? He replied that there is only one register and slammed the door in my face. In all honesty, I have never experienced a customer experience like this before in my life. Family Dollar customer service representatives are typically kind, courteous, and warm. Not in this case. I was in the establishment Saturday, October 21, at 1:45 PM, and it wasn't the cashier's fault that I had to wait 30 minutes in line to check out. The lack of name plates on the customer service representatives made it more difficult.
