United States Postal Service — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

Every year for the last 18 years I received a bill for my po box. I check my po box every 2 week and today I noticed I had no mail. I asked clerk to check if they had my mail. I was told that my po box was closed due to non payment and all my mail was returned. They said they are no longer sending bills and it's my responsibility to pay. No notice was given they were changing the rules and they seem to be the only post office doing it. I noticed this happen to someone else while I was there. I also see another feedback about this on here. I called 1 800 # and filed complaint I suggest anyone else do the same. Who is this supervisor they has there for years. She's fat and can't even move. She's been like that for years and she got that way from sitting in that dam office for years and not moving or being motivated. She just eats and wastes our tax dollars. She must be almost 500 pounds now. That why this post office always has problems. If you people don't want to work there are plenty of people who would love your job. People from the neighborhood who never get hired there. You have lazy people who don't care and don't want to work there and you carry them letting all of our tax dollars go to waste. Don't mess with my mail again. I pay good money...

Went to my Po box to get my mail when I opened my box there was no mail. Just a piece of a cardboard box stuck in the back. When I went to inquire what happened to my mail, I was informed that they closed my po box due to non payment. When I told them I never received a bill I was told they are short handed and aren't putting any bill or notice in the Po boxes anymore. It's funny they can't stick a Bill in the pobox but they can tape a piece of paper with my information to a piece of cut out cardboard and stick it in the back of the PO Box. They returned all my mail. When I asked how I'm supposed to remember when my Po box is due because I pay it in advance they told me to mark my calendar. What a waste of people that work there. So disappointed. I called the 1800 number to complain too. I see I'm not the only one this happened to...

Absolutely the most unorganized, worst post office that exist. You put your mail on hold they still deliver it. If you change the address they will still send it to your old one. You order online and your packages never show up.They seriously have lost 4 packages in 3 months. Im currently waiting for the 5th that may or may not show up . I have informed delivery and it takes 3 days from the day they said it is out for delivery to show up in my mailbox thats if it does show up .Jeanine the postal master is super rude as if you are bothering her.
