I go there all the time at least twice if not once a week…I’ve never had a bad experience there but today I got there at 10:45 AM and the line was incredibly long but I still went inside to put my name on the waitlist, the hostess told me 45 minutes which was fine with me. I waited outside in my car literally parked right in front of the place and patiently waited the 45 minutes. I went back inside after 45 minutes and the hostess was seating people that didn’t even have their name on the waitlist and continued to seat people that were just walking in without any wait for them. I asked for the manger and he claimed that they been waiting on the waitlist. I stayed calm, cool and collective because I go there all the time and I didn’t want to start any issues in front of the all the people that were waiting and everyone else that was eating. After the manager telling me that the other groups have been waiting on the waitlist and seated them…he then told me I have one group ahead of me. I patiently waited another 10 minutes then finally the hostess sat me and my girl at a table. We sat there for about another 30 minutes and not one waiter approached us with even a glass of water. I was disgusted, disappointed, confused and in shock in how we were treated especially after I go there all the time. My girl got up and said I’m not waiting here any longer and we both left. Absolutely furious with the experience I had today. I hope that one day the restaurant gets their act together and treats everyone equally because I strongly feel like I was discriminated because of me and my girls skin color. whether they are white, black, Spanish, Asian or middle eastern we should all be treated with the same amount of respect, effort, kindness and compassion. All our money is green, no need to disrespect or discriminate for absolutely...
Read moreDON’T DELETE MY REVIEW AGAIN! I AM BRINGING AWARENESS TO THE RACIST BEHAVIOR OF THE STAFF! This is my 3rd time visiting this establishment. The second and third encounter I was racially profiled. The last time I was there, which was today, the staff was very rude and dismissive with their actions and their eyes. The behavior is very distasteful. The encounter today was the same. Today as I came in, no one was at the booth to greet so I walked straight to the pickup counter where I normally go. I stood there for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment from no one. Everybody was getting help but me and the staff was just staring at me. It was 2 people at the bar having conversations and a few other people playing around on the other side of the counter. They looked at me countless of times but never said anything. I seen the manager walk out of the back so I asked a server to grab her. I had to run someone down to get service. If you're black, this is not the place for you. I'm not from here so I guess that behavior is normal here and that's sad. It's unacceptable and so evil. The staff there is racist and no one can convince me otherwise. I hope that accountability is made and there are solutions made as well. Also that they understand that there are other races in this world that matter. Do better Toast staff. And no I don't want anymore apologies. I don't want anything in return but requesting that the staff get proper anti- racism coaching and they change and grow. I will never go back to this place. Im just grateful that I'm just visiting and I...
Read moreThe decor and atmosphere is very nice. It's pretty loud in there because it's always full. The staff are pretty friendly. However, my boyfriend and I ordered the seasonal buttery caramel apple latte and they served it to us in a short, wide mug with a green sugar rim, which was pleasing to the eye but it wasn't too fun when I couldn't even pick up the mug to drink it, due to the coffee and green food coloring dripping down all sides of the mug. It was a mess and so full that if I picked it up without reaching my neck down to drink it first, it would have spilled everywhere. She handed us a ton of napkins but if I were a server, I would never feel good serving someone a sticky mess of a coffee. It wasn't that great either, nothing special, especially for $6. I enjoy Starbucks better and you get more for the money you pay there. The Hawaiian breakfast quesadilla I ordered though was delicious! It had fresh pineapple inside with delicious pulled pork, eggs, etc. The home fries were pretty good but a little too soft. I would rather them have a bit of crispness to them. My boyfriend said his food was okay, not really great and he didn't enjoy the sweet potatoes mixed into the home fries. He received more sweet potatoes than regular potatoes. My friend liked her food but once again, she didn't think it was that great. At the end of the day, I'm glad we had gift cards because we waited half an hour to be seated, dealt with that mess, then spent around $72 plus tip for 3 people to eat breakfast. I won't go again unless I receive...
