I’ve been going to Delfiore’s for years since 2000. Years ago I would have said this place was 5 stars top of my list and number one place to go to for pizza in Patchogue. But now I wouldnt even rate it 1 star. THE PLACE IS BEYOND A FUCKING MESS AND I HOPE JOE ITALIANO THE OWNER SEES THIS MESSAGE. You have problems bro big problems. So let’s start. Ever since Covid I get prices rising. But 4$ for a cheese slice or 20$ for a cheese pie is ridiculous. I can go to a Gino’s or Tony’s in Medford for half that price and with a way better taste. Next your cleanliness needs to be fixed you are roach infested and dirty then a damn rats ass. Half the time I stick to the seat when I’m their. Finally to cover the major thing. The drunkenness of the owner is insane. He will yell and scream at customers all night. He is single handily ruining the business. Plus I never see him with out a damn beer in his hand. Joe if your even sober enough to read this go fuck yourself and fix the Jewel of a restaurant you bought, don’t turn it into horse shit like your doing. Also fix and achieve the promises you have made on the Long Island advance because not one thing has happened yet that you promised. To end on a high note. I will say 2 good things. Your manger I want to say his name is chase or mace is amazing at his job and runs this place better then you do and business is always better when he is their with out you. Plus everyone’s moral seems to be up when your not their. Also you have 2 employees who are always so kinda and willing to go out of their way to make me or others have a great night you should honestly praise them, they are literally saving your business from Catastrophe . Their names are Dan and I think the other guys name is Taz or Cas. JOE PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES AND FIX THESE PROBLEMS . Then maybe just maybe I’ll come back. But for now I’m not coming back. Happy Easter you...
Read moreI recently visited on 2 separate occasions. I was disappointed the 1st time so I visited a second time to give it another try. The 2nd time was just as disappointing as the 1st. Not only was I disappointed in the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathroom but, also in the food. The meatballs had a thick crust That I could not cut through. They were dry and did not taste good. The Burger meat was so oily and tasted like old oil. The pizza was horrible. We ended up throwing it out with the rest of the food. It was overpriced for such poor quality food. The quality of the food, cleanliness of the restaurant and the service should reflect in the prices. This is not true in this restaurant. The booth we sat in was the cleanest booth that we could find. It was was sticky and there was garbage all over the floor throughout the restaurant. The bathroom well, I'm not gonna go there. It's too disgusting to describe. I know Delfiore pork store has a great name and great quality food. I don't know if they are under the same ownership as this restaurant however, I would be surprised if they are because, delfiore pizza and food company Is the opposite, it's just NO GOOD. I was excited to go there and find a great restaurant instead it was full of disappointments. I wish them well however, I won't be visiting...
Read moreHugely inconsistent quality. If you go on a quiet weeknight, you will get a good pizza. Try to avoid it on a busy weekend.
Pizza isn’t rocket science. They have good dough. They have good marinara. Their toppings are (mostly) fine. The problems relate to the bake. When it’s busy, the pizza oven hovers just over 500F, with the doors constantly opening as they crank out their pizzas. When it’s not busy, the oven operates at a much higher temp and you’ll get a decent pizza.
Not a fan of their thick crust specialty pies, which have a spongy dough. The fiesta pizza was covered with overcooked chicken with unripe tomatoes and wilted arugula over an under-baked dough — still wet at the top and just cooked underneath.
Staff is all very nice but young and untrained and highly unorganized, and with no apparent system for tracking when a pie is to be baked well done or extra crispy.
Pandemic note: last night the business appeared to be 100% takeout. While staff were all well masked, the owner couldn’t manage to keep both his nose and his mouth covered at the same time.
I want to like this place but they need to focus, and really work on the problem of the too-cool oven temp. You’ll never get a great pizza at 510 degrees, so hit them up in...
