I wanted to come on here and leave a positive review but I’m really disappointed with the quality of service I received at this salon. First, I will say that there was hardly any communication or talking during the 2 hour service which was kind of frustrating to start. The girl working on my service barely talked at all even when trying to spark a conversation and all other employees were talking with their clients. But more importantly I was there on Friday, 02/07, and spent $140, including tip, expecting a long-lasting manicure. It has only been four days, and my gel polish is already peeling off in whole pieces.

I don’t do anything that would cause this— I work from home and spend most of my time typing on a keyboard, so there’s no reason for the gel to be lifting from the cuticle and peeling off completely after just a few days. This is not normal for a gel manicure, and it’s frustrating to have wasted that much money on something that didn’t even last a week.

I had hopes for this salon as it was my first time and it was booked by my BF as a surprise spa day for me, but based on my experience, I can’t say I’d return or recommend it. If I’m paying premium prices, I would expect premium results or at least a manicure to last a week at...

I recently came in for a service that I am definitely happy with, without a doubt they do very nice work.

However, I had called ahead of time just to make sure they accepted walk-ins (because some salons I've used become too busy at times), just to be sure I didn't waste a trip to town. The girl I spoke with on the phone said yes and sort of laughed like it was a ridiculous question. So I kind of felt stupid for asking. So I drove down right away and walked in only to be asked if I had an appointment, to which I said no. I was then told that they wouldn't be able to get to me for at least another hour. So I essentially came down just to make an appointment anyway for a later time that same day. Thankfully I had some errands to run, so even though I had to kill a lot of time, I didn't waste the trip down. I came back ten minutes early to my appointment but wasn't actually seated until 25 mins after my appointment time.

First time at Nikki's; went because of recommendations from friends. They took me in as a walk-in (which I truly appreciate!) only because there was an opening after someone else cancelled. My experience for a gel manicure (gel removal and new gel application) lasted 90 minutes, which I thought was pretty long... and the cost was a little higher than I've paid at other salons.
