I purchases an EBike for my significant other for Father’s Day/birthday present from this place. Everything seemed to be going quite well, then it came down to finances and communication. I already knew I wanted to finance it because the shop raves about their 0% interest for 36 months upon approval with their finance institution. I fill out the info on his iPad, and imagine that I’m approved. Sweet!! When I went in, I knew already exactly what I wanted and Tony told me not a problem and said it would be in in 2 days. (I thought that was a short time but hey he’s the professional). It was Memorial Day weekend so I figured I’d give an another day or two to compensate for the holiday. It’s mid/end week the following week and I call, not in yet. Okay fair enough. So another week goes by, I get a thing in the mail from the finance institute, it’s showing 29.99% interest, so naturally I call the shop. “No, no, that’s not true. Let me call them I’ll get back to you. I’ve done tons of these and I’m telling you that it’s 0%.” I put my faith in the guy, he calls me back. “Just got off the phone with them it’s 0%.” Moving forward, I get my card in the mail from the bank and still don’t have the bike yet! I called Tony again, “hey can you send me the receipt?” “Yeah yeah what’s your email?” I get the email. Email shows exactly what we discussed for cost of the bike, pedals and labor minus my down payment.
Finally able to pick up the bike. He was great, educating us on all the things for general maintenance and so forth.
Then I get my first bill in the mail. I thought hmmmm…. That’s not right!! $510 more than what my receipt says.
I call the bank immediately, “you need to call the merchant.” I was 100% not calling the merchant because he was so rude to me when I questioned the APR. The bank says that I can dispute the charge because what he billed to the bank versus what my receipt says was $510 in difference so I decided to go ahead and dispute the charge About 90 days later, I finally received a response from the bank stating that I was denied my dispute. I said no my receipt says this. Apparently he told the bank that because I financed the bike I was charged a finance charge. I never received an updated receipt stating that anything was going to be changed not when I picked up of the bicycle or any other communication telling me that because I financed it, I was going to be charged differently. I gave the bank the receipt that I had been given by the merchant which basically stated $3500 for the bike $100 for labor and $115 for the petals there was tax added into that after my down Payment it brought me down to the $3562.20. He sent to the bank $4093.20. Based off of The math that I learned in first grade $3500 plus $100 plus $115 plus tax which was $297.20 equal $4012.20. The merchant was dishonest with the financial institution, which caused me to dispute this claim that resolved in winning this second dispute based off of the receipt I had and the merchants lack of Communication. I highly suggest anybody who works with the hockey shop in the future future to always ensure that you have a receipt and any communication in writing With the merchant, this caused a financial burden on me during this time of dispute because I was responsible for making the payments For something fraudulently charged...
Read moreSoooo, I was on vacation for a birthday, a Paranormal investigation, and just a plain old fun time with family. Oh by the way, I was hoping to find a hockey jersey. I managed to not only find this location 2 minutes from our hotel but was so happy to find out they not only did not carry NHL jerseys but only carried practice jerseys. I know it sounds weird but this was perfect. They had a green practice jersey and this is where it was meant to be. I got my jersey but the best part is I will have it designed for my Paranormal team, The Ghost PIT. Green jersey with black lettering. Way better than any jersey I could have bought. You guys gave me the opportunity to have my very own custom one. I will update this post once it is finished. Oh and by the way, very friendly and helpful staff and merchandise is very good too. Thank...
Read moreMy friends went in with a pair of skates that were purchased online. When they asked to use the oven to have the skates baked they were rudely dismissed and ridiculed for not buying the skates from the hockey shop.
Upon leaving one of my friends made a non aggressive, yet sarcastic and provoking comment under his breath. “Thanks for the help”
The owner then got into his face and belittled him by pointing out the obvious missing teeth.
He then proceeded to call him “soft as a babies bottom” then flipped them the peace sign and gently closed the...
