Collectibles Galore — Local services in Town of Clay

I love this store! Great variety, great customers who come in and the owner, Mike is very friendly, helpful and respectful/respectable. He sells anything from comics, toys to VHS tapes. He is also wise as he told me to save recites from anything I collect as I am a huge Star Wars collector and a few other things. He's sold me 2/12 of the first 12 Star Wars toys from 1978 with their original capes in very good condition for less than average. He once sold one of the rarest Star Wars toys. The vinyl cape Jawa, not customized, legit. He even sold a mint on card original gray hair Ben Kenobi with plastic case over the plastic case for $700.00. Which is what it's worth. He's not a con artist by any means. He claims to be Catholic and I believe he is. He treats everyone with respect, is honest and other qualities of that faith. So I don't think a you'll have a lot of luck finding this place or much of anything once you are inside. But if you are looking its around the back of the building in the bottom floor. It is really poorly organized with stuff literally piled everywhere. I guess after looking around it might be a good place to dig for things. They definately had a bunch of action figures and comics. Pricing seemed inconsistent too, many things not priced at all and what was is priced high. They seem to have maybe one employee on at a time and they are generally hanging around talking to the "regulars" and not breaking away long enough to answer a question or two.

Last time I was there it was at least 20 minutes waiting at the counter without even being acknowledged while they chatted away. My suggestion go elsewhere. There are far better...

Like everyone else, the owner is super-helpful and friendly, and does do some deals, but the shop is chaotic and packed. While I was there, one of the patrons saw some long boxes and asked about them. The response was that he had not yet gone through them, but it was okay if he went through. Nice of him, but then this action caused a major walkway to be blocked. I asked about Spider--Man and Ghost Spider/Spider-Gwen, and was told he had none, except what I could find in the backissue bins. Not true, as I had found issues in various piles throughout the store. Why not suggestive-sell the Campbell-signed Spider-Gwen poster on the wall. Speaking of comics, where are the new comics? I found some in a pile, but only because I was a snoop. Would I go back? Maybe when I he sorts the comics and...
