This was a great place to go in the past and we come kind of often. Visited 8/27/22 around 715pm. No fresh sushi available, no one on hibachi grill. The sushi they had, taste like it had been there for hours. Extremely dry which made it difficult to swallow. They no longer have crab legs, but no one does bc of cost and i understand that. What i don't understand is that the food was mostly cold,& nothing new was put out, regardless of the people coming in- which was quite a few. The clams tasted like they've been soaked in salt for a week, there wasn't many, and no others were brought out. My 1 year old lives on French fries- which were close to bare, and cold- but no new ones were brought out. We came about 2 hours before closing,(to avoid this kind of experience)& had to eat the cold food that no one else wanted bc they wouldn't bring out any more. They started picking up the food a little after 8! This is after they told us they close at 9pm, and the host stand says no one can stay at the buffett for more than 2 hours. Which is perfectly fine, but we ate pretty slow,bc the food was cold, making it not very good,& we were waiting for fresh food to be brought out to the many empty, and almost empty slots. That never happened. They just left the same food there and that's what everyone had to choose from. Even though many customers came in during that hour. I would say close to 10 people after us. Then when they start picking up...they start taking the fullest trays first? Leaving even less to choose from. We actually left hungry. From a buffett! - bc there was really nothing to eat. If they want to offer to fix this for us, I would consider giving them another try..otherwise, I will no longer be a patron of theirs. This was a huge disappointment compared to our previous visits. Very...
Read morei’m not sure where to start….i’ve been avoiding writing this, but you all need be warned.
a few weeks ago my friends and i were really excited for this restaurant to re open, but we should’ve stayed away. most of the food was old despite it being busy. out of the things that were labeled correctly, they had strange options such as a wet ham log, and unseasoned seafood boil. we ended up only taking like one bite of everything we picked. there was no music, the entire time we were eating the fire alarm kept going off (we debated leaving but stayed for some reason). there’s no ice cream machine anymore. everything looks like it wasn’t cleaned, including all the dishes, since they first closed down a while back. the fountain water has 100% not been changed, it smelled like wet pennys and must throughout the whole building.
i wish i could give negative stars. out of my group of four, three of us threw up and were pooping our brains out. we should’ve called the health inspector. still might. please don’t go here unless you enjoy paying way too much money just to feel ill. drinks aren’t included anymore btw.
i wouldn’t eat here again even if...
Read moreMy favorite Chinese buffet.
The place compared to the ones closer to me has by far the best selection of food. From your standard Chinese buffet fare to stuff like chicken on a stick, chicken and broccoli, lo main but also chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese, buttered roasted potatoes, smiley face fries and many others. The one thing it doesn't have though is walnut chicken, but that's a small price to pay for considering how good it already is. Very good food I feel:)
The service is also great. I never had a bad time here, the wait staff, the front desk people and the managers if I think I ran into them have always been chill and nice. No negative experiences not even once:)
Overall it's my favorite Chinese buffet, I live outside of Syracuse and whenever my family and I visit the city for shopping, we either go here or Golden Corral. And when we do go to Ling Ling we always have a great time as this place has my dad's favorite selection of food compared to the ones in our town which have less he can eat.
Very nice place! Can't wait to...
