Tops Friendly Markets — Local services in Town of Clay

I've been noticing for the last 3 months everytime e I get meat or cheese from the grab and go there have been extra pieces of deli paper in the package now it's getting out of control. Why does sliced cheese need to be wrapped in 4 pieces of paper it may not sound like a lot but if they weigh the paper with the product everytime they do that it adds up and with the price of groceries I can't afford to get ripped off just a little bit EVERY time .. the manager and I are going to have a conversation next time I go in there and they better compensate me somehow or I will be taking my business elsewhere and my household spends around $300 a month on food. The quality of Tops Friendly Markets stores is proportional to the perceived economic health of the community in which it is located. The stores in less affluent areas, i.e. Canastota, are only a step or two above urban corner markets. A whole lot of white bread, unimpressive produce department, negligible seafood selections and uncompetitive prices (which would be fine if the service was better). Fifteen miles away, the store in Fayetteville, actually resembles a full service grocery. Tops is similar to the public school system in that if the consumer does not insist upon excellence, they will make little effort to provide it. This place showed me that Wegmans is the standard. I walked in and got my items. I went to the register. The girl did not sanitize anything The belt not sanatized. I asked why and she says we’re busy and try to do It when it’s not busy. Mind you the store was not busy. She also was wearing rubber gloves touching everybody’s items including the persons in front of me. She never changed them and then moved on to mine. On top of this poor display of sanitization during a pandemic, the keys on the card machine had plastic over it which doesn’t do anything for limiting the spread. Absolutely abizmal Tops.
