This location is simple, compact, and efficient. The store is typically clean and stocked, however, it is not unusual to see at least one item on my shopping trip out of stock. The prices are extremely low at Aldi, but the experience is a bit lacking at times compared to other, larger stores.
There isn't as much variety at this location and new items are not really seen like in other stores. If you're looking for the same food staples each week, this location is good for that.
Produce has been iffy. Most perishable items I purchase from this location do not last very long. Milk is particularly frustrating. Almost every time I have purchased milk, it has gone bad quite a few days before the printed date. This is frustrating.
It's important to note that bags are not free here. You also need to have a quarter available in order to take a cart into the store (i.e. coin operated cart release). You do get your quarter when you return the cart.
There is no butcher, seafood department, deli, bakery or other locations within the building like at other grocery stores. Just aisles of pre-packaged foods and typically not a lot of choice (if any) in brands.
In all, if you want to save money for common every day food staples, this is your place. Excellent prices on store brand cereal (they even skip artificial food dyes in most options). If you're looking for specific foods, variety, have dietary needs, or want a full service deli, Wegman's is what you...
Read moreUpdate: my how time changes things. Shopped here today, 5/9/25. The store staff ran away when I tried to ask where something were. prices are at Aldis! The male with black haired ran into the cooler. He literally trotted. 😂 I wasn't going to run after him. The female on the floor just ignored me. In her defense, at least she was working. At least the redheaded cashier was very nice, quick, and efficient. A store is a reflection of its GM. In this case, I see that the GM here is a failure. Store was dirty as well. The customer base demographic here has proven to feel entitled. It's their constitutional right. But hardly any shoppers seemed to be happy at all. 😂
The store was a mess, the stock in some areas was disheveled smaller stores have a better canned food selection. From now on, I'll shop at the Geddes Aldis store. The staff are always hard working there, willing to help in a second. And their GM is constantly working hard to keep the store stocked. He looks like one of those celebrity bodyguards. And, the Geddes GM is always good to help his customers when asked questions. Geddes is a better store in terms of food and a superior staff. The Erie Blvd store has also gone downhill as of late.
Fact. Prices are best at Aldis. This was a very disappointing...
Read moreI spent $160 here and took $40 out cash. I handed over my cart to a very nice customer, didn't take their quarter. As I'm walking away my receipt fell.out of my pocket in the vestibule. I didn't notice at first but the money and the receipt was in the wind. I panicked as soon as I got back to my car. Where's my money?? I go in to the store hoping someone was kind enough to return the cash. Nope. The manager held me figure out who took it. I saw her on camera scoop that up like it was nothing and walk away. I'm heartbroken. I'm struggling with finances even though I work a 40 hour manager job. I have kids at home. School aged. We need every single penny. I'm so upset. I know i dropped it. I know. But it was 1 min after I noticed. I'm rushing home to feed the kids. My mind is on my family and I made a grave mistake. The manger at Aldi was amazing though. SHAWN. He couldn't do much but I appreciate him. Thank you for trying to get to the bottom of it. Sorry for the rant. I'm just upset. Guess Karma will...
