My gigs was great, as was my child's, but my husband, who struggled to find something he could recognize, ordered taco salad. The server said nothing at the time, but she had cautioned us against many other items. Ut arrived, and looked more like taco salad soup. No joke, hubby had to use a spoon to 'pick' anything up. The outer shell was burnt on one side. It was sad because I love Mexican food and neither if us can figure out how it turned out the way it did. Maybe they didn't drain the grease from the ground beef? But this was more than that. Hubby did not eat. Really dampened the evening. Server commented when I got her attention, yeah, I should've warned you about that, sori. She was the only server there and was simply distracted, working really hard and was tipped well. My tacos were amazing, the guacamole was super fresh, handmade, child had equally amazing chimichanga but I did forget to take the pix

Local restaurant in North Syracuse. Friendly service (by Elizabeth the server) and good food. I'm editing this review today (6/16/19) because of an unfortunate experience I had with a staff member who just so happened to be the MANAGER (Katie). I asked to substitute an ingredient in a dish and she stubbornly told me NO. When I asked her why, she started making excuses, gave me attitude and told to me to leave for simply questioning why she couldn't add/remove one simple ingredient. This managers name is Katie, avoid this place if possible, terrible customer service by an individual who should be setting an example in regards to the rest of the staff. To top it all off, no apology was given, and we even asked to pay extra for the substituted ingredient. If you're interested in a quality Mexican restaurant, I'd stick to Azteca Mexican Grill.

Authentic Mexican taste. Our server was a delight and made the best jalapeño margarita ever. The “medium” is huge with thick slices of jalapeño and cucumber. A must try. The Aztec Guac was yummy but the avocados were a bit harder than I normally like, still pretty good. We couldn’t stop eating the house salsa and chips. I ordered Corn Chicken Street Tacos but was disappointed they didn’t come with toppings of cilantro and lime as pictured on the menu. The corn tortillas were ridiculously hot which had me believed they might have been microwaved. I would come back again.

Went for dinner, service was ok, a little slow, appeared like there was only 1 server but its a smaller place, we weren’t in a hurry so we didn’t mind. We didn't get what we ordered for dinner but it was a very similar dish that was brought out so we didn’t complain, would have preferred what we ordered but again one server and we didn’t want to complain. We left havjng an ok experience nothing to write home about either way. I then checked my bank account the next day and saw I was charged more than what our check was, we left over 20% tip in cash wrote cash on the tip line,. But when I checked my bank account the next day I saw they charged me more than what the bill was. Called immediately and asked for the owner or manager, explained the situation and instead of trying to rectify the issue was told that was what I left as a tip, I explained again the situation that i didn’t leave cash and a tip and I specifically wrote cash on the tip line. I asked them to pull the receipt as I know I wrote cash on the tip line as i do that to prevent situations like this. I was then told they don’t have the slips and I would need to come in and tell the server who waited on me he needs to pay me back. I noted that makes me very uncomfortable, this isn’t something that should be my responsibility as a customer, the receipt should be pulled by management as CC receipts are required to be kept for 3 years for taxes and auditing purposes. Was then just told no to come in and ask the server why he over charged us and so the server can give me back the money. I again noted I’m not comfortable with this and if there was another time for me to call back and speak to someone else as again I feel this should be addressed by management and the server as well as review of the receipt. For all I know this server could have mixed up tables and accidentally closed out our ticket with another table but this should be reviewed by the restaurant and then I should have been called back with information. I then sent 2 messages on their website asking for someone in management to call me as Im not comfortable with how this situation has been going and nothing! I cant recommend a restaurant when they think its up to the customers to come in and investigate their errors. I would be hesitant to recommend anyone to go here, it could have been an accident or it could have been intentional with the server hoping that noone would call or ask about it. Either way unacceptable handling of the situation and we will not be going back and I caution everyone to check their...

My friends & I ate here on a recent Friday night. When I walked in a friendly hostess greeted me and was ready to seat me until I realized one other person in my party was already seated. I slipped into the very roomy booth and munched on salsa and very crispy chips while we waited for the other 2 in our party. Our waitress, whose name I didn't get, was also very friendly and helpful. We placed our orders and started gabbing to catch up and within 10 minutes of doing so our food came out. We were all so surprised at how quick it came and thought for sure something would be cold since our dishes ranged from taco combination plates to steak.

Everyone's order came out correctly and hot. My plate was actually sizzling! I had ordered a T-bone with onions and cheese. It came with refried beans, rice and a salad with avocado dressing. While the T-bone had no bone and was a thin cut, it was tender and tasty. The refried beans are fantastic and the rice melted in our mouths. My only complaint with my dish is that it had way too many onions - more than I'd ever eat on my own. The rest of my party enjoyed their dishes too even if they stuck to the usual standard Mexican fare of burritos, tacos and chimichangas.

For dessert we ordered Mexican fried ice cream and this too was delicious. The ice cream was super creamy but I'd have liked a thicker coating that you usually find on fried ice cream. This was a more delicate coating. My friends and I were celebrating my birthday and the restaurant surprised us with the gift of the fried ice cream dishes. That was extremely kind of them!

All in all, this place is deserving of the great reviews its been getting. The staff are top-notch and seem very happy and content doing what they do. The food is the center-piece here so don't deprive yourself any longer. I understand you can order take-out if you don't wish to be seated. Either way, this is a two-thumbs up...

Ordered take-out from here the other night for dinner (for myself and two others). When I went to pick it up, the place was very clean and nice looking on the inside; fun atmosphere. I also really appreciated that there was one-way in and one-way out so as to prevent interactions with other people. We ordered a burrito, enchiladas, and veggie fajitas. I thought it was strange that when I went to pay, there was a $0.75 "take-out" charge; not a whole lot of money at all but still strange to me. And then there was also another $1 charge that I was unsure about, the employee stated that it was for my corn tortillas. I thought these were included with the fajitas, she explained to me that it's because I ordered the corn and not the flour tortillas. I went to the online menu to check and it turns out that the corn tortillas are less expensive than the flour. Don't ask me on the phone which one I want (since the meal comes with either) and then neglect to tell me you're going to charge me more for something that seems to be included.

When we opened up everything back at home, it all looked good. Although, with the fajitas there was supposed to be a double amount of beans in lieu of rice. Well, the rice was definitely not there as requested but the amount of beans was laughable; certainly not a double amount. The sour cream was also missing from the fajitas.

The two individuals who ordered the burrito and enchiladas were very pleased with their meals. They did look great and they said tasted equally as good. The veggie fajitas...also did taste good even though they were cooked frozen mixed veggies and frozen spinach. The chips that came with the food were nice and crispy but a little on the bland side.

I do want to try other Mexican restaurants in the area; this was our first one on the list since we live close by. We may order from here...
