Unsatisfied is an understatement.
When we initially went to Menâs Wearhouse to inquire about the process of renting suits for our wedding, the staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they assured us that they pride themselves on making sure everything is perfect for your wedding day, and if there are any mistakes, they will be fixed before your wedding day.
A few months later, when our wedding party went to get measured for their suits, one of the facilities was a âno touchâ facility and refused to take actual measurements for the suit fitting, they were only willing to ask questions about clothing sizes, and had my father try on a suit coat.
When another member of our wedding party went to get measured at another facility the entire Menâs Wearhouse store he attempted to go to was closed with a sign on the door stating they were only open for scheduled appointments, which is not what they told us. They stated no appointments were needed. My brother drove an hour and a half to get to the store for measurements only to find out no one was working and he could not get fitted.
When we picked up all of the suits before the wedding the groomâs suit pants were completely wrong. The pants were unbelievably short and a new pair had to be ordered. Luckily we picked up the suits four days prior to the wedding so this was possible. Two days before the wedding, we had the rest of the groomsmen and ring bearers try on their suits (because Menâs Wearhouse told us, as long as we are notified of any mistakes two days before the wedding, we can have them fixed prior to the wedding). We informed them that one of the ring bearers was given the wrong size shoe. When I contacted Menâs Wearhouse they informed me they could not get the correct shoes until our wedding day. I informed them this was unacceptable and inquired about what they thought my ring bearer was going to wear on his feet for the wedding? They told me they would rush order the shoes and that they MIGHT arrive by 8:00am or 9:00am the morning of the wedding. They stated they would call me as soon as the delivery truck got there that morning. Fast forward to the wedding day; Menâs Wearhouse NEVER called or informed me that they had a pair of shoes for our wedding day. Luckily, I had already gone to the store and purchased a pair of shoes myself the day before the wedding; as I had a feeling that Menâs Wearhouse would not get us the shoes. Had I not purchased my own pair of shoes, my nephew would have been barefoot on our wedding day.
In addition to this enormous issue, one of the ring bearers shirts was a completely different style than the rest of the shirts, my other ring bearers pants had to have the hem redone, as it was about 4 inches too short, and the groomâs white tie had rust marks all over it.
All in all, I would NEVER recommend Menâs Wearhouse to any family, friend, or stranger looking to get suits/tuxes rented for their wedding day. No couple needs that extra layer of stress leading up to their big day. Regardless of the sales pitch they make when you walk into their store, be aware that they DO NOT hold true to the promises they make. They have no interest in making sure your day goes smoothly, but only on getting their money from customers and giving them poor quality service in return (they did not offer any sort of compensation for all of these mistakes and headaches they caused us leading up to our wedding day). Please look elsewhere if you are thinking about using Menâs Wearhouse for your wedding day! I am certain there are other businesses who actually prioritize customer...
Read moreMy fiancé and I scheduled an appointment for a wedding consultation for today and were horribly disappointed when we arrived. I understand that it is prom season and it was busy, but the level of service we received was abysmal. We waited for about 10 minutes before we were able to speak with a member of the staff. they then handed us off to someone else who handed us a form to fill out and left to help another customer. we finished the form and waited for her to return. when she did, she rushed us through picking out the clothes we wanted. When we asked to change something, she was almost irritated about it. She was also answering calls and ringing out another customer while plugging in our information. Once she was done, she rushed us through measurements, trying on a jacket for size and payment, then basically shooed us out of the store. When we checked the website after our "consultation", if you can even call it that, we found that she had completely spelled my name wrong, even though she had it there on the form in front of her. We sat in our car in the parking lot for about 15 minutes, debating going back inside and asking for a refund and cancelling our order. Last time we dealt with this location for a friend's wedding, they sent my fiancé's rental to the wrong location. All in all, they don't seem to care or be detail oriented in any way. If you are looking for a personalized experience and great customer service, go elsewhere, you won't find it here. Would put 0...
Read moreVisited a month or so ago and had one of the most bizarre retail experiences I've ever had. I came in to get fitted for a wedding. The man who 'helped' me abruptly grabbed a tape measure and very rapidly/lazily threw it around me as we were standing talking in the middle of the aisle. Realizing this was apparently "my fitting" I started to mention that I had received oversized suits in the past and wanted to avoid that this time.. the man very condescendingly said "we don't carry anything ultra skinny". I tried to mention the pants 'break' line as an example (glanced down and notice his own pants were spilling down onto his shoes) and he continued to shut me down, we don't have anything like that etc. "What if I buy a suit?" I even said, "We don't have anything in that color". Weirdly hostile and consistently shutting down any question or convo about suit fit. He literally used phrase "you're going to be disappointed". I said "Well then why am I shopping here?" he said "because this is where your groom picked, you have no other choice". Incredible! The only saving grace here is that the actual MW location that serviced the wedding (in another state) was great, very nice store with solid employees who were super helpful. But god help you before you visit the angry man on Erie Blvd. Highly highly recommend going...
