Country Markets of Westchester — Local services in Town of Eastchester

My personal integrity was badly insulted by Country Market on White Plains Road September 24 , 2024. My husband and I had been patronising the market since it is the local market in our town until what had happened to me today.

It is a shame that I have to write about the local market in our town especially since my husband was a fan of the market, but I have no choice.

I had purchased a bran raisin muffin on the 23rd imagining my husband would enjoy the muffin, which cost $4.29 for two.The evening of 23rd, My husband tried to have it but he did not because the muffin was extremely stale. He said, "I had a hard hime to cut it to begin but I tried to eat. I can not eat. It is badly stale although the expiration date is in later October."

I never return anything; however, I reluctantly went back to the market on the 24th to ask for a refund. The lady working as a cashier asked for the receipt.When I showed my receipt from my phone to the credit card company, she refused and said loudly, "That is not a receipt, I need a paper receipt." I noticed that people started to look at me. I replied, "Madam, it is an electronic receipt from the credit card company."

Then the lady started to complain and insinuate that I did not understand what was a "receipt".The lady pushed the matter to another lady who was helping another customer. The other lady repeated the same.

I was standing and paused for a while, then I asked to speak to the manager. The minute I asked the manager then her attitude changed. While the other lady finally gave a refund, the lady who admently asked for the paper receipt was talking to my back and still trying to dispute with me.

It was not necessary to make an issue. I brought back the whole muffin including the cut piece that my husband...

Just on the outskirts of East Chester bordering Bronxville is a lovely little supermarket. This is a cozi market to shop in to buy food for yourself and your family. It has a family owned atmosphere that's fantastic to be in. It is moderately priced and has a great selection of items that you need for your home. There are specialty foods here and homemade things as well that you can take home and heat and enjoy with your family or friends. This market is never really crowded and you can ease through the aisles without disruption. The staff is very pleasant and courteous. The parking is excellent. Each department has its own flair. The check out counter is warm and friendly. The meat department is fantastic and so is the Deli. One of my relatives raves about this place consistently so I had a go and see for myself and sure enough, I am validating its cleanliness, quality and consistency. Bobby is the best!!! Store, service and quality are great. Customers are so rude to employees!! I was flabbergasted by the attitude of two women online for deli and the utmost rude woman ahead of me to the checkout woman the other day. This is not my first time feelng disgusted with customers around me there. Haven't you women learned to never treat help like "the help" you classless swine??!! Thank Heavens my mother raised me, her daughter, to be kind to others, ALWAYS. So while some customer's disgust me, I must say their service and food quality at this establishment impress me. I guess I'm not a miserable leech as exemplified by (hopefully only) a small percentage of their customers BE KIND IN EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR YOU KNOW NOT OF ANOTHER...
