Equinox Scarsdale — Local services in Town of Eastchester

The place started off strong but a couple years later, the quality of staff has gone downhill. Equinox was supposed to be upscale. The ceiling had some water stains in the women's bathroom. The towels are disgustingly stained. I found hair, lint, blood, and tan stains on the towels. There is a very offputting odor from the eucalyptus infused towels - almost like mildew. The floor of the children's area is not sanitary, yet they let children walk barefoot. That's a safety hazard. God forbid a kid drops a toy on another child's bare foot, that's a liability. If I'm going to pay a monthly fee, it better be worth it. Saturday mornings are the worst. The staff was not in their work attire. There was a new trainer that needs to be schooled on etiquette when it comes to discussing client concerns. You don't need to broadcast it to everyone where the hall echoes. None of these newbies know a thing about how to properly communicate in a professional manner. Last year, a new hire tried to poach me from my current PT. How tacky. This place has gone to trash. The new cleaning lady (who doesn't speak a word of English) will walk into the steam room and just clean the floor without regard to privacy. Prior to that, a very rude cleaning lady snipped at me for taking the coldest towel from the bottom as she was folding new ones. She got pissy. TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT JOINING THIS CLUB, please be aware that some of the staff is disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional.

I visited EQX Scarsdale on Monday, March 24, 2025. I finished my workout around 9:58pm, then went to the locker room to wash my hands and change my sweaty shirt to a clean one. The front desk guy approached me in the locker room with an attitude around 10:01pm-10:02pm and told me point black to "hurry up." Keep in mind, he's telling me this as I'm putting on my sweater to leave. I laughed and made a joke about him rushing me because I thought he was playing around with me but he kept a straight face and doubled down. He repeated that I have to hurry up.

The next day I called and asked to speak to a manager so I could share my experience. I was told someone would call me in 24-48 hrs but that was a total lie. Nobody reached out to me. I sent an email to Equinox on the 26th and nobody reached out to me. They’re excellent at calling people when it’s time to sign up for the gym but when it’s time to address a member complaint they’ll flat...

This is a small boutique health club in Scarsdale New York. They have a nice staff and some nice amenities. It's too bad it doesn't have a pool. Their trainers are excellent and the training floor is superior. They offer lots of classes. They have a small cafe. It's not a place for young people. The locker rooms are very clean and neat but small. The fees are extremely high but worth it if you want to be pampered, I assume. There is parking out back. This club has been around for quite some time and sits at the edge of Eastchester bordering Scarsdale New York. I will admit their hiring process is kind of odd because I recommended someone to go here to get a job and it took basically forever and no one ever called that person back.
