The lady at the desk seemed nice enough, but she didn't inform us properly about how the provider switch reimbursement works, especially that there is a time limit and that we had to get a ton of documents from Verizon (you will lose access to your Verizon online account immediately after you switch to Spectrum, so you will have to go to a corporate store to get your documents). She also didn't enter our information correctly into the system which caused the original email for the reimbursement form to not be delivered.
Spectrum also makes it extremely difficult to get the reimbursement, with every store telling you to call a different number. On top of that, the form submission website doesn't work, with many people on the internet also complaining about it and when you do call customer service they tell you that if the website doesn't work you are out of luck, which is a lie because reading similar incidents show that some customers are given an email to submit their forms to. This is not an isolated incident and is...
Read moreWe switched from AT&T to spectrum about a month ago. We went in when the store opened and inquired about all of the steps we needed to take to insure that we would be covered under the buyput policy they advertise in their front doors. We ran to At&T to pay off our ohones, the ups store to print out our bills and back to spectrum. We spent 5 hours in the store that day. Now a month later, with 3 lines because that is what was required of us they are refusing to pay us back the $600 buyout. Spectrum has been so unhelpful in trying to solve this problem. We live about 50 minutes away from the nearest store, it is not easy to just drive there to talk to a store manager. And no one on spectrums customer service can give you a phone number for direct to the store. It's been a nightmare. Do not switch carriers. No matter what you will save. It isn't worth the headache. Their customer service is unhelpful and their store employees are obviously unknowlegable about how the process is supposed to work. Beyond...
Read moreIf I could give the McKinley Parkway location 0 stars, I would. On behalf of my in-laws, I have been to this store TWICE today to replace a cable box and have received an incompatible box BOTH times. The second time we went back, we explicitly explained to the staff member what had happened the first time (given an Enhanced box when we have a Legacy account), and they AGAIN gave us another Enhanced box. Before we left, we asked to verify that this second box we were getting was in fact compatible with our Legacy account. They- with attitude- replied saying “all the boxes look the same,” but assured us it was compatible. It was when we got home and hooked it up, we realized the staff had AGAIN given us the SAME Enhanced box. Unbelievable. This location does not seem competent enough to perform a...
