Consistency, consistency, consistency! I can always count on coming here and being satisfied. From the food, the service, and the cleanliness. I have come here many times. At busy times and not so busy times and not once ever had a bad experience. But today was somewhat of the exception to my usual experience in my past visits. My wife and I came for a late lunch. And as I already stated, always please when coming here. Though today our server was Jamielee at table 615. She was absolutely phenomenal! Now she is proof that there is more to receiving good fare and service. Her attitude made you feel as if she was glad to see you. As if she knew us personally. Very upbeat. And coupled with that awesome attitude was her impeccable timing. There was absolutly no waiting for her at any point during our visit. From her introduction to getting our check. Perfect! And when ever we were about to need someting like another beverage or refill on anything. She was there to serve us. Honestly it was uncanny her timing. Now I'm not saying she was standing by our table waiting for requests. And I have experienced a waiter or waitress ( not at Olive Garden) be too much of a pest asking if you need this or that, when all I wanted was time to enjoy my meal. But that was not the case for Jamielee. Her timing for everything was spot on. I can not praise her enough. Jamielee, you deserved more than the 33% tip that I left. As I realize now, you were a perfect 10 out of 10 for our experience today, and I should have left more. Keep up that awesome attitude and great work ethic, you made our day. And to top it off, it was my Birthday today. Thank you again for everything. Olive Garden please recognize this special asset to your establishment. As a Google guide my posts reflect my honest opinions. The good, bad, and ugly. This dining experience ranks amoung my top post. And it is...
Read moreWe were a table of 2 and was extremely neglected I can only assume to the two larger tables for higher tip. Not that it matters but I'm 45 and just found out that my daughter is pregnant with our first grand child. When I said lunch she said zuppa (zuppa) her favorite food which she pairs with a peach iced tea . When we got there we already knew what we wanted. But was advised there is caffeine in her tea so she was looking. And I asked him if you had the melted cheese with the crushed red pepper he said yea we have cheese sticks.. by now he is extremely rude, agitated ,and acting like he has some other place to go . I said oh no not sticks it litterly was a bowl of cheese . He said we've never had that I said ok u must not carry that anymore he said I told u we have never carried that and I have to go if your not ready I said ummm we are ready and I was asking u questions. And my daughter was looking for another drink option . So she says ssb with a water and his eyes roll I ordered the same soup salad bread and same thing so he goes to walk away and I said we will order a lasagna fritia as well. So he goes to put in order and my daughter was like wow . I said u could see if they can put the peached in your water or ill order ya a decaf hot tea... she said no mama it's ok I dint want to ask cause he was just gonna frustrated and this is a good day . We get our food 2 soups salad and appetizers. Asked if we wanted cheese. I say yes on all well he gets to the app and runs out of cheese and says uggg I'll be back that was a whole block... like really dint need his sparky comment. He made what should of been a sweet joyous moment between a potential new grandma and her eldest 23 yr daughter as our schedule don't typically allow us these moments . Just bad and also we were the first table as they just opened.
This was the McKinley...
Read moreThey have an insane seating policy. I brought my family in at 8pm. I approached host and let him know in the empty waiting room that I had 6. He asked me if I called ahead I replied no would I normally do that at 8pm. It was the end of the shift for these employees and you could tell. He told me to sit down and it would be 5 minutes. I then viewed him talk about me in his ear plugged walkie talkie which is not professional at all. I heard his comment but held my tongue. Olive Garden employees should not look like the secret service why do they were these ear plugs. After watching 4 different people seated ahead of us I decided to voice my concern a 2nd time. Still after voicing my concern about tables being seated in front of us I decided to survey the restaurant. Multiple tables were open and I quickly realized that I may have been targeted due to my political beliefs. I am a disabled veteran and my vehicle was exposed to the employee which has an obvious different political view as his. After another 5 minutes I spoke to an unequipped manager. He said he would find me a table, when he said this one of his employees said well you can sit them there they will be uncomfortable and squished. Obviously this manager does not have the respect of his staff or that employee would know when a manger gets involved to leave his own opinion out. At the end of the day I am disappointed with Olive Garden. I really believe this happened because of my political beliefs and the lack of training from a flustered manager only made the situation worse. I am now seated at Friendlys immediately and am being treated like the most important person like any patron should be. I hope that this team understands that they will have to deal with all sorts of people and that they should not walk around not smiling and be professional even if it is the end...
