BJ's Tire Center — Local services in Town of Hempstead

After driving from Brooklyn to this location on Monday, July 31, 2023, with my aunt. The Tire Center doors were open. We went inside and had a seat. After 10 minutes we realized there was no one working. I called the store (it took 3 attempts to get a person). Call #1 - no answer. Call #2 - after being on hold for about 5 to 6 minutes the person that answered hung up the phone. Call #3 - waited for another 6+ minutes, but finally spoke to a person. Only to find out the tire center was closed for the day. There was not sign posted and members with appointments were not notifed. I had to tell them the doors were not locked.

I walked to the front of the store and asked a sweet young Gentleman please call a manager for me. He did and I thank him for that. About 2 minutes later the manager on duty (Shadira) called another employee on her personal phone to ask me what did I need. After waiting for another 10 to 15 minutes she never came. I left the store with one of the most horrible experiences I have ever...

We had our son with us, and we’re trying to see if our tires are good because the air pressure sign went on. We quickly went there on Sunday morning before it opened at 9am. We waited in our car until 9:00 am and no one opened the door. We then walked to the main door and waited and knocked on the door and no one was there. We went to the BJs store to talk to the manager and the manager said the person who opened called out sick. We waited till 9:30 hoping someone might open up the shop but it never happened. They did not open up because only one person is in charge of opening, even though we saw two workers inside doing what, we do not know! Luckily we had an automatic air pump we used that to safely drive to the nearest tire shop. Don’t ever go to this tire shop it is terrible. Warranty is great, the mechanic was very polite & service was good. GOOD & SLOW!!! I had an appointment & I waited 1 hr & 40 mins for them to service my car. There’s a disposal charge for each tire they remove, even though I asked to keep one of the four tires that were removed. I was still charged for the disposal of four tires. I got a flat on a Fri & called for a tire repair as required by warranty & was told no appointments to the following Tues. adheres the kicker, I asked if I had the flat tire removed at a flat fix & swap it with the tire I asked to keep. Would it void the warranty. After being told it wouldn’t void the warranty, I went to put on the tire that the BJs mechanic saved for me. And the flat fix guy told me the tires didn’t match.
