Five Star Kitchens — Local services in Town of Hempstead

I wanted to take the opportunity to write a review of our experience with Five Star Kitchens, as well as with Scott Holcombe and Bruce. We finally redid our kitchen around 18 months ago, although like many people we started the research process quite a while before that. I really have to say that the guys at Five Star were incredibly patient, helpful, and knowledgeable in helping us design a new kitchen. They operate with a very professional, no-pressure approach that really was quite admirable; it simply fit in with our personalities to a tee . When it came to us finally deciding to pull the trigger on the new kitchen, they were extremely helpful in planning and designing the kitchen, adjusting patiently to the various changes made as we went along. Five Star was a complete end-to-end package; they were able to help guide us with the various choices about brands, materials, cabinets, counter tops, faucets, cabinet handles, backsplashes etc. Over time it came together and then the help did not end there. Once we had the kitchen being installed by our contractor, there were a few inevitable glitches along the way and Five Star helped us work through those as well with the contractor. It really should be mentioned that the customer support did not end with the installation with the cabinets. When we noticed some issues with a couple of cabinets after installation, Five Star went back to the manufacturer and made sure those issues were suitably corrected. I actually think this was the highlight of our experience with Five Star; I have heard from many friends who have said that after sale of cabinets, the seller could be nowhere to be found if issues or problems arose. People were extremely impressed when we told them of the after-care these guys provided to make sure the customer was extremely satisfied with what was obviously a large purchase. I am writing this email for the purpose of reviewing my experiences with Five Star Kitchens, and specifically my experience of working with Scott Holcombe.

Scott has been nothing short of professional. He treated my job, and home, like it were his own. Scott demonstrates patience with his customers. He is always seeking to give the customer the product that they want, with respect to pricing and material/aesthetics, and he does not impose his own opinions unless the customer requests it. In short, Scott is not a pushy car salesman. I enjoyed my experience in this process and I would definitely be interested in purchasing materials from Scott Holcombe again. In fact, I have already referred a family friend, Priya, to Scott based on my positive experience.

With regards to the product I purchased - the countertop is strong, durable, and cleans easily. The installation process took the amount of time that was estimated, and the transaction was seamless. The cabinets are visually appealing. The only negative feedback I can offer about the material are the pegs on the interior of the cabinetry. They are plastic, unstable, and not suitable to hold heavy objects, and I needed to replace them at my own cost, by purchasing metal pegs from amazon.com

Overall this has been a very positive experience for me, and I recommend Scott Holcombe to anyone seeking an in home consultation for a kitchen or bar renovation.

After seeing my friend’s beautiful new kitchen, I inquired as to who had designed it and how can I get in touch with them. She proudly told me that Nancy Riley from Five Star Kitchens in Valley Stream was the person to see. Yes, Nancy is truly brilliant at her job. My husband and I met with her at the showroom, discussed our needs, looked at some kitchen ideas and went home filled with excitement and great ideas. Nancy followed up with a visit to our home to measure. We were set and ready to order and design a new kitchen; which Nancy did so beautifully! Nancy is a wonderful listener, very patient, understands her clients, is knowledgeable and extremely professional. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Nancy! Anytime I called or emailed, she was there. I highly recommend using Nancy and Five Star Kitchens. They deliver great customer service, great products and a very supportive nature to support you during renovations and building beautiful new rooms. We love our new kitchen!...
