Valley Stream Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I used to order my sandwiches religiously from here. They used to be amazing!

I’m not sure if there is different management

However, the past two times I’ve ordered here there have been issues with my orders.

The last time I ordered they put one piece of cheese on my sandwich which was skimpy! I thought 2-3 was standard for deli!

Today I decided to try them again. Turkey cheddar LTM on a wrap. (I specifically asked for 2-3 pieces of cheese in the comments just to be safe)

when I opened my wrap. I did notice there was more cheese on it but: the sandwich presentation was messy There was way too much mayo making it super soggy There was zero turkey on it. I asked for kettle cooked chips they gave me regular.

I spent 19$ and even included a 1$ tip for a pickup order - It’s not that hard what I am asking for - and they just can’t seem to get it right.

If there was an issue with the chips they should have called to ask for replacement

I called and made an order for pickup. I gave them 20min before I left the office. I get there and I joint the line. The cashier (a guy) told me to join the next line the other cashier will take care of me. There were 2 people in that line. After I waited on the 2 customers in front me, now when its my turn this cashier calls over of bunch of construction worker to come hes gonna ring them up.. their food wasn't even brought to the front. I've always orders from here for me and my coworkers but after this experience I will not return. I don't just spent my money w anyone, respect and quality in service is a plus for me.. I didn't argue or fuss I just left. And im the one that pics up the lunch cause most people here don't drive so the didn't just loose me, the lost everyone who I always grab lunch or breakfast for them too. I was treated very rudely by the proprietor. In a rush and unfamiliar with the layout of the deli, I walked up to the counter and said "Good morning, can I have a medium cup of black coffee?" . Proprietor scowled and said loudly " MA'AM THE COFFEE STATION IS OVER THERE!!!" The other customers stared as I slinked away red faced. I went over to pay for my coffee and another item I picked up and said "Thank you , have a good one"and he didn't even look at me just said "NEXT!!!"
