Building Violation: I Received over 5 Violation by a RACIST Building Officer because he refuse to check the records to see that i have a full bathroom in my basement. After going through all the Headache of showing them i do have a full Bath in my Plans and making a complaint with the commissioner's office about the RACIST officer- They made arrangement to have 2 officer come to my home and check it out. The Officers were much nicer and confirm that i was infact CORRECT.
Now-i had to go to court on those tickets and even though i was correct, (NO Pardon here for the Headaches they put you through). I Go to court and the DA is another one to deal with- I pay over $15,000 in Property Taxes). The DA's job is to make sure you are paying(Settling) more monies to NASSAU County- so he insists on me paying a fine for Anything or something (Fine: $1,000)...... Once they are killing us with Fines-Who CARES.....i don't want to deal with the headache of paying an attorney to sue their asses for the headache they put me through-so i settle for the $1,000 Fine....because Nassua County doesn't care about the little people- their only concern is the RAPE your pocket.
Finally, i have to go to court, so, i decide to call and confirm my court date. This Woman picks up my call just to put me on hold for 8 minutes to get back and tell me i need to hurry up and get her the information because she can't stay all day on the phone hence the nasty attitude(i give her my last name and she pulls my info-no question asked-she gives me the court date and hang the phone up) TALK ABOUT NASTY.
We should all stop paying taxes to NASSAU COUNTY and let them foreclose on tax judgement for every home and see what they would do???????? They Really Need to reduce the property taxes and stop Taking our...
Read moreBack in 2018 I missed a court date due to my child who was 6 at the time nearly dying and being admitted at LIJ after an outpatient surgery. I’m a single mom so I had no one else to stay with her. I came in with the discharge papers as soon as she was discharged and informed the judge of this explaining that this is the reason I missed my court date the week prior. The judges response, send me to the county jail for 2 days. I was a single mom of 5 children, the youngest at the time was only an infant and exclusively breastfed. Besides attending daycare, they never left my side. But this judge had no care. Bail was set but when my family attempted to bail me out, they couldn’t. For some reason, even though I had no job or money sources, the judge labeled me as a flight risk. So I ended up staying in Nassau County jail for what seemed like an eternity. I was supposed to leave on day 2, however they kept moving my court date. I didn’t get my court date until day 5. The jail also left me locked in the room alone because I had box braids. I was not allowed to leave the room at all unless I took them out. I’ve never been to jail before so it was terrible. The crazy part about the entire situation is that the thing I was charged with, I never did in the first place. My court appointed attorney never did anything they said they would do (review surveillance etc) so I was forced to plead out. I think they take advantage of all low income people like that and I can’t imagine how many people are currently in jail on false charges. With my income I couldn’t afford a real lawyer. So with all of this being said, I won’t give y’all more...
Read moreI was treated by the police within the Nassau County District Court as an oddity, a criminal and with total lack of respect and even one officer asked for my shoes and once he touched them he acted like they were contaminated and threw them as if they meant nothing to me. They laughed and made fun of me because I'm a transgender woman. The charges of driving under the influence should be determined unfounded and I should be vindicated once my blood test results come back. I only had my prescription meds which I had taken many hours before. I am lodging a complaint with Internal affairs and considering a suit against the arresting officer and the police department. My case is still ongoing and I will never forget the horrible treatment and false and hurtful accusations. I will never let this go and I am planning to go public and even called Newsday but not sure if they will be interested...
