Olivos Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! After reading all the reviews I was excited to eat here but boy was I disappointed!

First of all, no one greeted me when I walked through the door. On top of that they didn't have either corn bread or biscuits so I'm wondering where all the food that's apparently available on the menu is.

2nd of all, I'm vegetarian, the only vegetarian option was string beans and rice and that's what I ended up getting. The food didn't even look good to begin with but I still wanted to give them a chance.

3rd, I ate the food and it was DISGUSTING. I don't know where "Katie" got her recipe from but it should be put thru the shedder, burnt, put in a trash bag and thrown in the deepest of oceans. The string beans were DEFINITELY not good anymore and had a very off taste.

4th, if it was Katie that was behind the counter in her sleeping clothes and hair cap that is NO way to dress as the owner of a restaurant. Even an employee shouldn't. I felt disgusted eating the food and wondered how sanitary they were even being in the kitchen as I don't know if they used gloves.

I don't know about the rest of the food but I will definitely NOT be returning!

If you truly want some food for the soul, take your money and your health elsewhere. This place should be shut...

I love the food. The chicken is great. I also love the soup. When my dad orders,I don't have to wait that long to get the food. The service is fast and quick. The decorations are classy, artistic, and Spanish-like. They even sell toys. I've went their since I was 2 1/2 years old. I am stunned. Thank you...

Hola a todos los que lean esto y por favor no vayan a los olivos restaurant, la comida es pésima, con mala presentación, como cuando uno cocina de mala gana y apurado, me sirvieron un arroz todo recalentado, sin sabor, un pescado reseco y salado a más no poder, la ensalada estaba peor, nada fresca, la lechuga toda amarilla y amarga, una rodaja de tomate y 2 de pepino, y unos frijoles rechinados, y toda esa malísima comida por 15 dólares, y de bebida pedí un batido de papaya el cual estaba todo tetelque y ralo a 3 dólares, me sentí robada y estafada, la verdad tuve que volver a ver como se llamaba el lugar para no volver a ir mas, deberían probar su propia comida y ser más autocriticos, mi esposo es de otro país y me dio mucha pena decirle que ahí venden comida salvadoreña, no sé como se atreven a vender esa comida, demasiado mal y el local tenía un olor a lo lejos como a lodo podrido, deberían inspeccionar ...
