El Rincon Dominicano — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I had a beyond above experience , Today was my first time at this location , to start my best friend told me about this place and I drove all the way from Howard beach to taste the food , my best friend my two kids and I went , we ordered the food the person who got all our plates ready was so helpful profesional and respectful, let me start by saying the portions wad amazing they really want you to not stay hungry after eating , second the food taste amaziiiing I had the pernil and I’m puertorrican I know what a good pernil taste it was well cooked but the flavoring of the pernil was beyond great , they really have a great cook that’s for sure and then yellow plantain were perfect sweet and on the point the rice and bean were great , we had the potatoes salad and it was amazing let me not forget to mention food was freshly cooked , third I got to admit I tend to loose my things when I paid for the food the guy at the register which was the one helping me gave me the card I paid on my hand I said thank you he said your welcome and then I ate the amazing food when leaving realized I did not have my card so I looked the floor and everywhere and couldn’t find it I went outside while my friend stood inside and they offered to look into the garbage and they did look into it even tho it was not found shows how amazing and how much they care about their customers , I took this time to say this place not only cooks good not only have great beyond above customer service but they care about customers , I will be going back very soon and to the person who helped me with my food and the person who took his time to look into the garbage for my card thank you so much . Food is great, affordable and tasty, but i will explain why the 3 stars. Their delivery however could use some work. They charge you a dollar delivery fee (and thats not included tip) for any order regardless how much or little you order, which is not the end of the world, but my co worker and i placed two orders coming to the same place obviously and their charged us each a $1.00 delivery fee and on top of that their delivery man seemed a little upset at the amount of tip he received. I understand that this may be out of their control, but you cant exactly expect customers to pay the delivery fee, per order mind you, and tip the delivery guy just like they would regular tip any other delivery person from anywhere else where a delivery fee...

My absolute favorite place! I first used them to cater my daughter's sweet 16, that was 10 yrs ago. Another sweet 16 and a gang of partners later I still enjoy their food. ALWAYS cooked to perfection and I jave yet to be dissatisfied. Love this place and am always treated with respect and kindness.
