I had never been to a pawn shop before coming to Gem and from my first visit, they have been extremely helpful, fair, and they explained the entire process to me. William and the entire staff are extremely kind and personable, always greeting me by name when I walk in the door. Gem is always my first and ONLY choice when I need to pawn or sell something. Shady! They know people are in bad situations if they're pawning stuff and they take advantage. I brought in an unopened, brand new, Ridgid brand 5pc, 18V, Combo Kit that sells for $400. This woman had the nerve to say that once it leave the store, it's not considered new anymore! It's not a car! They're tools!!! She tried offering only $80! I understand it's a business, there to make money but theres a line. You can make money without taking advantage of people. There's a special place in hell for these kinds of peoe.
