South Shore Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I consider myself somewhat of a bagel maven. I know good bagels. And this place has them. They don’t sell soft rolls with holes in the center and pass them off as bagels; they have the real thing. Kind of crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Not the best, but very good. And the slight bit they may lack in taste is more than made up for by their excellent, friendly, quick service. WOW, try the cream cheese AND the coffee!! I stopped here after an early morning doctor appointment with my spouse. He got the flat bagel, I got an egg bagel, both with the vegetable cream cheese. The cream cheese was so, so creamy and absolutely stuffed full of vegetables. The flat bagel had amazing flavor, definitely getting that next time!! I got an iced coffee and he got the a hot coffee (Guatemalan) and both were excellent-no burnt beans! All around great bagel joint with excellent prices....
