Party Play Cafe — Local services in Town of Hempstead

My 1 year old had a blast here! She would probably give it 10 stars! There’s a lot of fun things to climb on and let her move around.

However one safety concern I had was there are steps to the basement right near the play area which are really not obvious and the baby gate was not closed and secure so I shut it myself once I realized there were steps!! This is a huge safety hazard. I was watching my child every second but the steps really were pretty hidden.

I also think the place could use a good deep clean, it was pretty filthy. Hairs all over the place and in the bounce house. There was a popcorn kernel on the play mat which is a huge choking hazard. Random wrappers on the play mat. It doesn’t appear the place is cleaned often or between play sessions. The bathroom/changing station was pretty gross too. I know it’s a kid place but it turned me off a bit having to pick up long brown stray hairs from the mat off of my daughter constantly 😅

If it was a bit cleaner I would probably come back more often. I’m glad to have found a local place to bring my daughter to get some different stimulation when it’s too hot/raining outside. Overall great place- just clean...

I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my daughter’s second birthday! From the moment I booked the hall, Gabby was incredibly helpful and always available to answer all my questions. We had a Sesame Street-themed party with about 25 adults and kids, and Gabby made the whole process seamless.

On the day of the party, Gabby’s husband, James, went above and beyond to help in the morning, and Sophia was amazing with decorating and assisting throughout the event. They were all so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to my friends and family.

The venue itself was perfect — from the bag station to the dessert station, and even rearranging the tables to suit our needs. They even let us come early to set up, which made such a difference. My daughter and all of our guests had a blast!

The kids absolutely loved the bounce house, Elmo, and the kid station with pizza and juice! The decorations were fabulous, and both the kids and adults had a blast. Everything was so well-organized and fun—this venue made my daughter’s birthday unforgettable!

My first encounter with Gabby and James was last year when a bouncy house company scammed me on the day of my daughter’s first birthday party. At the very last second, Gabby and James stepped in and delivered a bouncy house, saving the day. This year, I had to change plans for my daughter’s birthday literally the day before, and once again, Gabby and James came through for me. They had a cancellation, which made it possible for my daughter to have her birthday party at Party Play Café.

Gabby and James went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The space was beautifully decorated by Gabby, even though she didn’t have to, and she made all my guests feel incredibly comfortable. My daughter loved every part of the space; it was cozy and not overwhelming for her.

I highly recommend Party Play Café for any event, especially if you want caring and dedicated owners like Gabby and James to make your celebration...
