Burger Bite — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Had 2 horrible experiences recently Ordered sweet potato fries, received onion rings, went back and they wanted the onion rings back and insinuated we we're trying to steal from them Ordered through uber eats and didnt receive my burger, called back and asked if they would make another considering I paid for it but they said they would be losing out. Then i tried to order another burger that I would have paid for and picked up but the girl kept talking over me like an airhead. I said yes 3x that I wanted to just place another order but she was continuing to say how I would have to pay for it and pick it up after I kept saying I understood. Complete airhead and no sense of customer service.

*Been ordering from there for the last few years on a weekly basis, you'd think they would want to retain their customer base and treat their customers nicely. You get what you give ¯(ツ)/¯

Update April 2022...third time they've given us onion rings instead of sweet potato fries in the last 2-3 months. People really don't want to have to go back after they're already home with the food and since burger bite is weird as hell they want to see the onion rings so you gotta bring em back so they can...throw them away? I was really craving a burger so I stopped by and ordered a burger, philly cheesesteak, fries and onion rings. I was extremely disappointed with the taste and quality of all the above. Let's start off with the sides as they both fit in the category of mediocre due to the old oil that was probably reused for way too long resulting in a terrible aftertaste for both the fries and the onion rings. After a quick punch to the tastebuds I decided to power through and try "long islands best Philly Cheesesteak" aka the worst false advertising I have ever seen. The bread was soggy, the meat itself was just meat and cheese with onions that barely had any flavor outside of what the cheese provided. After a few bites, I cut my losses and the rest was thrown out as I moved onto the burger. Again I experience some more soggy bread but I power through to some flavorless frozen patties, poorly grilled with little flavor and the slimy lettuce underneath. I'm incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food here and it's a real shame because I'm only a few blocks away...

I originally gave them a 3-star review about a year ago, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again. I'm so glad I did—now I visit Burger Bite quite often.

Looking back, I suspect my initial review was negative because I arrived shortly before closing, and the grilling time may have been neglected due to staff cleaning up to close. Since then, every visit has been excellent—just like I remembered from years ago. The fries are always piping hot and fresh, and the bacon and burger patties are cooked perfectly.

Some people complain about the pricing—and I did too in my first review—but when you think about it, most bars and restaurants nowadays charge $18–$25 for a comparable burger and fries. Even fast food isn't far behind. I mean, go to Wendy’s and order a Baconator meal—you’re looking at $12 or $13. Burger Bite is far better quality, and personally, I don’t mind paying the price as long as the food is good.

Needless to say, I’m glad I gave them another shot and my original review was based on a one-off hiccup....
