I've shopped there several times now, and am thoroughly impressed with the store and service. If you're a carnivore, or looking for higher quality meats for special occasions, I just haven't seen a better selection. You should know what you want and do your research before going - as the selection can be almost overwhelming.
But besides the selections and quality of product, I've also been very impressed by the customer service in the store. Any time I've had a question, the staff have been extremely helpful in helping me find whatever I wanted.
I recently called asking about a specific product if they had in stock - and an employee named Joshua answered. He thoroughly explained what they had in stock of the product, the prices, and when I asked for different items, he readily went to check the back supplies to ensure something was in or out of stock. Being helpful in and of itself is what I expect from customer service - but when about 20 minutes later, I received a call from him, saying he also found another product I was looking for and offered to put anything aside I may want - I was extremely impressed. It was caring, thoughtful, and proactive customer service you expect to find at higher end personal shopping type stores, not from a 'meat grocery'.

I have been a member for years having my meats delivered since there was no stores close to where I live. I recently through my email was notified by Wild Fork that they opened a store near me in West Hempstead. Of course I had to order online for store pick-up. I ordered 2 Choice Black Angus Ribeyes approx 1 1/4 inch thick We grilled it outdoors indirect heat the grill heated to 500 degress seasoned with WF rosemary/lavender spice (before grilling rubbed steak with seasoning rested 30 minutes as grill came to temp) placed over coals seared both sides 3 minutes then moved to other side of grill indirect 3 mintues steaks reached 125/130 degress. Took off heat onto plate placed approx 1 Tablespoon garlic butter (sold in seafood section) wrapped plate in foil for 5 mintues. OMG my husband said it was the best steak he ever ate he said it tasted going to the local steakhouse for a lot less $$.    Read moreLOVE THIS PLACE!!! All the staff is so incredibly kind, helpful and cheery! You are greeted right as you walk in the store and the staff is so knowledgeable! I asked an employee if they had any venison and she showed me where it was but then suggested elk and described to me the taste difference. It was such a lovely conversation. I think it’s wonderful there is now brick and mortars where you can get very rare and exotic proteins, that would previously only be accessible online. Their pricing is great for the most part too. Some of the luxury ingredients are up there but that is to be expected. Every time I go, I am inspired and excited. Currently have some kangaroo, monk fish, foie gras, and all natural Kani in my freezer and could not be more happy about it! That is one thing to note, everything is frozen so when you shop there it is for tomorrow’s dinner, but they also do have yummy frozen premade stuff. Can not rave enough...
