I apologies for the length of this review as its a reflection of how long this process took do to their incompetence. I should have read the reviews before continuing with the sale of my shower in closure. I was recommended by a friend who has worked with them on construction products, add that to their close proximity to my home and I thought "its on them to do a good job". First don't believe much from the sales reps when it comes to customer service, they wont tell you but they have nothing to do with your issues other than selling thats for another department all together.
Initially my measurement and installation was processed within 10 days from purchase. I was unable to be home for the installation and came home to a door that was upside down, two trim peaces were cut jagged and short and the door handle I ordered was on back order with a piece of plastic rope as a temporary handle (you would think to schedule installation when all the materials are in hand) 6/19/14. So this is where everything started to go to hell. I contacted both sales rep (Raj) and customer service manager (Frank) to inform them of my issues and was told I would hear back from Frank once he discussed the details with the installer. I was assured that the issue could be corrected no sight and was scheduled a service call for 6/27/14. During the service call more errors had come apparent to the "Lead installer" (Robert) and came to the conclusion that a new door would be cut to correct the issue.
This being the 3rd visit to my home (1. measure 2. install 3. service) I was not happy to have to make arrangements for them to come a 4th time to correct the door. I was told I would be informed when they can cut a new door and would receive a call back after speaking with the production manager. Needing to follow since no call was made, I spoke with Frank on 7/1 about the progress, He scheduled an appointment to come change the door among other issues on 7/8 with the "lead installer" Bob. July 8th came with confirmations from Frank on the date and time, I receive a call from Bob 15mins before he is to arrive saying he now recognized the address and knew what work needed to be done but that he was not given a door to replace. Frank never had a cut a new door and sent a service call out, I call Frank to complain and am told I will receive a call back with an explanation.
I call on 7/16 after no word from them for 6 days. This review doesn't touch on the number of times I've spoken to reception, sales, and customer service (Karen, Dave, Raj) having to repeat the story of this interaction since everyone was oblivious to any other department. This is right around the time Raj dangled the reimbursement (7/18) word over the phone as my messages went unanswered. This is about when John came into the picture = explanation of the whole situation all over again, and an attempt for a second measurement apt since a door was never recut in 4 weeks time ( my response: Bob has the measurements and took them back on 6/27). It took 2 weeks to confirm the measurements and process the new door for production. The door was replaced on 8/28/14 concluding a 3 month ordeal that could have bee completed in 10 days.
In closing 5 house visits, 3 errors, countless calls and apologies. I will say this, the product is of good quality, and through the whole process communication around an average but the incompetents was at a high throughout. The little gratification i've gotten is that they ate all of their profit and then some on labor costs and material. Oh and funny that Raj is dodging my phone calls now that I'm calling to collect that reimbursement I was promised.

   Read moreI used Showercrafters to install glass in a standup shower for a newly renovated bathroom. Called for appt to do measurements, they arrived on time and spent over an hour measuring, leveling and marking the location for the door and panels, all of which was done professionally; so far so good. Showercrafters uses 1/2" glass for all panels, this is the primary reason I gave them the job because their competitors all use 3/8" glass. This is a big deal especially if the shower door is hinged on another panel, as it was for me, and not directly to a wall. Thicker glass is typically more costly, but their quote was just under other quotes I got, for 3/8" glass! Two weeks later they called to schedule installation, they arrived on time, all went well except for the shower door which did not fit due to a fabrication error. Concerned thinking I had to wait another 2 weeks for a new door while I had to manage with a doorless shower, Showercrafter's had a replacement door ready in just 3 days, and now my shower looks fabulous, they really did a superb job. As for the door issue, a little patience goes a long way. They gave me a discount on some premium shower hardware to help smooth things over, and that's why I'm writing this review because things don't always go as planned, what matters is handling customer service issues quickly, and with courtesy, and Showercrafter's definitely did the right thing.    Read moreRe Showercrafters. While we loved the doors when installed, we were told that there would be a lifetime warranty. Now 2 years later the door isn’t closing and now we are told there was only a one year warranty and we are to pay 175.00 to have someone look at it. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Very disappointed in the policies, especially since we are away 6 months a year so the shower was only used 6 months out of the year. They say the warranty was only for the glass guard but even that hasn’t held up well but their saying warranty is good only if the glass was taken care of correctly which we have done. How can they say we aren’t taking care of it correctly. It’s a scam! They only post 5 star reviews.
Since the above review my opinion of Showercrafters has changed. I received a phone call and they said they were sending someone to fix our problem. Jonathan was a great technician, fixed the problem and explained so much. A pleasure to work with. He is also sending the company PIcturesvof a few minor problems we have and said they will contact me about them.
