NIELSEN REGISTRATION SERVICE (DMV REGISTRATION & VEHICLE TRANSACTIONS) — Local services in Town of Hempstead

So I got referred to this place by multiple people hoping to have a quick process with my title and plates. i got called about my title to then be informed that my title was “salvaged” when it actually is “rebuilt salvage” so i came down with the dealer i bought the car from to show the difference between a rebuilt salvage compared to a regular salvage title.. the owner of this satellite establishment was hellbent on making a point towards that she was right about MY TITLE that i know is not Salvaged but rebuilt Salvaged. furthermore i was expecting to retrieve my information to take it elsewhere to then be told that it was shipped to Albany WITHOUT my permission to do such. When i spoken with the young lady a couple of days back she never gave me an option on my behalf to choose to take my paperwork to albany or if i want to retrieve. i found out the day i arrived that it is on its way there... i’m very frustrated and would not refer this place to anyone especially with the fact that professionalism is not upheld there along with putting the customer first, not only that they are ill informed with certain things which needs to be addressed especially if you are handling a document that requires you the provider to read and inform the customer. i kind of understand that dmv didnt take my title due to them not understanding its a rebuilt but at the same token these are regular people that sit behind a desk not being advised about certain things , so i cannot take my frustration out towards dmv but this satellite place is really something that i would not advise anyone to go to if you want to avoid this headache. now i have to wait much longer than anticipated for something i could’ve went to another dmv for which is really frustrating. SO in the process of me writing this review i got a call back from these people to come PICK UP MY TITLE AFTER IT WAS “SO CALLED HEADED UP TO ALBANY” i guess she realized that my dealer and i were right and handed me back my paperwork but didnt give me back my 80 refund due to them so called processing my title when the services were NOT RENDERED. THE LADY THAT IS RUNNING THIS CIRCUS SHOW DOESNT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS DOING ONLY GOING OFF OF INFO THAT SHE CLEARLY HASNT BEEN UPDATED ON. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE...

Cannot thank Micaela and her team enough for everything that she had to go through for me. I am a first time car buyer (have been leasing for over 15 years and have never had to go through registering my car with the DMV) Simply put, they made the process completely seamless for me. I dropped off copies of all required information to the office and they did the rest. As we all know the NY State DMV is such a headache and of course my case was no different. The team at Nielsen had to make 5 trips to the DMV for me because of complications with our registration. I'm sure anyone out there would be livid if they had to go to the DMV during the work week... especially five times. After all, they made sure everything was properly done and at an extremely fair cost. I would give this team 100 stars if it was possible because they are the best in the business at what they do and my situation was treated with the utmost care and respect. Will definitely be a repeat customer and highly suggest that if you need anything done at the pesky DMV and you do not want to spend half of your life waiting in line......

Those dreaded words: “I have to go to the DMV” and that is certainly an experience most of us would like to avoid! I was faced with that dreaded trip but after looking around at other options I found Nielsen Registration Service - a lucky day for me! The staff at Nielsen were professional, knowledgeable and were able to assist me with a daunting title change (thank you Lissette!). A few other places I looked at were not as friendly or optimistic about the time it would take to turn around the transaction I needed to complete. Micaela (the owner) told me the transaction would be completed in half the time other places said it would and the price I paid was substantially less than I was quoted elsewhere. And she was right!
