a friend of mine came in here & was ready to get her hair fixed because the salon she went to last month really messed up her hair.. so she goes in here with hope.. what do they say? That they do not have enough time to fix it.. that they will have to schedule a color. She was fine with it..and agreed on getting a wash and style. The stylist was nice and asked who messed up her hair so bad.. so she told her. When she told her all the sudden she is brushing her hair.. and says OH I can't even dry or style your hair. You have lice. WHAT? No bugs.. just seen a few eggs so she says. So my friend cries..and is embarrassed and calls me upset. Then to find out after she went to her dr that she didn't have lice. She has a dry scalp issue. Well that same day about an hour later we go to the stylist that messed up the hair to begin with to ask them for the money back and they mention getting a call from MEGAN from here telling them that she just came there & that she had lice. Why would u call the salon ? Was it your place to call them ? NO. You knew she wasn't going to go back there for hair color or anything YET you call them when she talked to you in confidence .. and then you even tell them she had lice?? Which she did not. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Its way high pricing and way...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE for salon services. I've been here 2x once for fashion colors and was made to leave before my hair was finished due to some rule about not being allowed to finish the job you started past their closing hrs or the stylists will get reprimanded.
I walked out in tears because my hair was green and yellow and had to walk around like this for a few days.
Should have learned my lesson the 1st time but being new to the area I figured would give them another shot.
2nd time walked out with my hair in the "before" photo in the collage. I wanted my bangs layered in my hair and layers throughout and as you can see that didn't happen no layers what so ever.
Also wanted a bayalage/ombre (showed my stylist a photo) and it looked NOTHING like the photo and got this nasty brassy/orange brand around my scalp. I'm not a stylist but knew that was not good blending.
I think ulta needs to focus on what they're good at, providing makeup, they're not willing to put the resources into hiring experienced stylists and it's apparent that quality is not of the utmost importance when a client is forced out of the salon vs. staying past closing to complete the job...
Read moreI’ve had my eyebrows waxed at Ulta Beauty Salon multiple times and always had a great experience. The salon is clean, bright, and professional. My cosmetologist always sanitizes her hands, uses fresh materials, and follows NYS cosmetology and sanitation standards.
My brows always come out perfectly shaped and natural-looking, with no redness or irritation. For clarification — in New York State, licensed cosmetologists are not required or encouraged to “sanitize” the skin with alcohol or harsh disinfectants before waxing, as that can irritate or damage the skin barrier. Clean tools, sanitized hands, and proper technique are what’s required — and that’s exactly what I’ve experienced at Ulta.
The $29 price reflects the expertise and safety of a licensed professional. If you prefer a $10 wax from an unlicensed person, that’s your choice, but it’s not the same level of training, care or compliance.
I just wanted to share my experience because I’ve consistently received excellent service at Ulta Beauty Salon and...
